Smash Ace
First and foremost, I just want to apologize to everyone who attended HOBO 28 this past weekend. I feel as though my actions were completely unprofessional and immature, and for that I'm sorry for making myself [once again] look like a complete moron.
Recently, I've made an important discovery about myself: I can't have fun with Smash anymore. Every match I play, whether it's tournament, money match or just a friendly, I find myself always trying to win, never trying to learn anything from my mistakes, just win. If you want to be part of this community (or any gaming community in general), you want to avoid this mindset as much as you can. If you don't, you may find yourself being cast out and thought of as a sore loser or a nobody. Ever since I've started playing smash competitively I've known this, but I could never put this concept into practice because I'm too competitive, pig-headed and antisocial.
But I'm not here to make excuses for my actions. I'm not here to garner attention on these forums. I'm posting this as an opportunity to apologize to the TX community as a whole. I'm not improving at all (I may have gotten worse, in fact), and I feel as though I'm holding TX back in more ways than one. All I've ever wanted was to be considered a player who could hold his own against the best in the nation/world, not someone who was only known for acting like a **** fool at every tournament he goes to.
I've come to a decision. After MLG Dallas I'm going to quit. The South as a whole has already grown into a national threat without me, and I don't want to make TX look stupid if I ever go to a national.
I hope to see everyone @ MLG, and I wish the TX community the best beyond that.
