How do you FC Nair? If you use the C-stick, then your button will be off of X or Y for a fraction of a second, you won't be floating when you begin the aerial, And it wont be float cancelled. Do you do it with "A"? I'm confused.

FC nairing is usually done in 2 different methods, the X and Y methods
X (the one i do) is done like so:
Hold down, tap X, let go of down, tap Z, let go of X, tap down
Y is done:
Hold down, tap Y with the tip of your thumb, let go of down, tap a with the first knuckle of your thumb, let go of Y, tap down

also you can't fc nair with c stick (:

Well, I don't cstick my aerials so I have gotten used to nairing while still moving (even with other characters). the problem is peachs momentum. I immediately flick forward and then with that momentum I use Nair. If I need to space afterwards, I just hit the control stick RIGHT after the animation has started for nair.
hope that helps.

Well, for retreating FC fairs, you must C-stick them. To do that, I am currently experimenting using the palm of my hand (under my thumb) to flick the stick. It's awkward though (FWIW I have small hands).

I am curious how other players do this as well.

retreating fc fairs can be done with a, they won't punish you for moving forward 3 pixels

for the most part i only fair when i'm moving forward, the hitbox won't help you out too much if you're directly above or below them, i think bair works better then honestly
Btw, don't worry about having any speed with fair, it's a slow aerial, getting it out quickly won't help you. just make sure you float lol

You can. Actually, when you do the float cancel, if you start your float cancel with the stick in wavedash position, and then slightly shift it to lower forward air position (prolly as close as you can get without dairing) and then snap the stick back, you can do retreating fairs.
you have to do it immediately out of a float though, or else it registers your float movement forward before you actually do the fair.

I have no problem using analog forward and A to do retreating fairs. I just kinda tap forward and quickly tap backwards and hold to float away and do fine.

just learn to use the palm of your hand under your thumb, it's a really good way to do it

doing bairs/fairs to the right will take time to learn though

nah, you dont have to cstick them. In fact, it is much more difficult to C-stick fc fairs and bairs. I never use c-stick for floated aerials, and I can FC any aerial retreating just fine.

While I'm pressing the X button, I just roll my thumb over the side of the A button to do aerials. And i just use the joystick to input the aerial and then quickly input the direction I want to go.

I think quaz knows whats up.

DIfficulty of something like that is totally an opinion lol. It's so much easier for me to do it with c stick, but i can do it with both.

Is all that assuming your already floating, or does it include getting into the air?
