Speaking of fair off platforms, runoff ledge fair is so swag, especially when is a combo ender(as opposed to edge guard)

My friend is a Falcon main with a DK secondary and man, cargo upthrow to upairs really hurt big G
Yea it does. If you don't DI out after the throw (gets you one, maybe two hits guaranteed), just DI off stage. DK can't follow up at all and you have a ton of options to get back on stage and DK can't cover all of them.

Key matchup tips are don't attack the back of his shield (up-b oos is stupid), only attack the front if his shield with GOOD spacing so he can't grab. Up air and side-b both beat his bair. If you do get grabbed, DI out and then off stage. You won't get comboed that hard. Ganon wins, trust me. It isn't a free matchup by any means, but it isn't exactly a tough one. Easier than marth for example.

I have a theory as to why the Ganon boards are so much more active than all the others despite the small number of people on it (comparatively). I have a feeling it's because we all think Ganon is SO close to breaking out of that low-mid tier house he's been stuck in and everyone wants to be able to contribute to the meta.

Also Eikelmann recruited about 3.5 million new people at every event he went to for a while there.

Hope they still get to come.

My theory on it would be closer to Ace's lol, we all just want to crush the opposition so we are just constantly going to figure out how to do it. That means communing with fellow kings of evil on a daily basis xD

Yeah I know that feeling. I lost to fox robot hands waves hi night me today. It's so frustrating. I wonder why I take the ridicule of playing ganon sometime. Had to opt to play off stream after I got bumped out of winners just to get away from it. Still got made fun of because the fox did nothing but moonwalk after waves hinting me off fd. I wish I could play a top tier on days like this.

Well I just lost to a link player while drunk af and he conveniently doesn't remember the last time we played with me sober (3 stock). Gotta love it.

Tech skill is not the only ingredient in the recipe for success.

We were at about the same skill level. I said robot hands because he did more than 20 perfect waveshines and reacted to any escape attempt perfectly. That's why I said that lol.

Obligatory post-tourney write-up:

First tournament since November and the first one I had since I started actually learning real techskill. Annoyingly, I got to the venue and my timing completely just fell apart. I couldn't do ANY of my skills, even just ledgehops and L-cancels. So I spent the few friendlies I could get in just trying to adjust my timing (all sets were tournament sets once bracket started).

First match was against a mid-level IC. I'd watched him play doubles, so I knew to be careful of getting Wobbled, but I also knew his weren't actually true infinites. Game one, strike to Dreamland (he banned BF and Yoshi's), and I can't waveland to save my life. I flubbed all of them that game, but he wasn't on point and kept knocking me into the air and didn't know what to do about me coming down with a dair. Unfortunately, when I came down with a bair, I got knocked into the grab (he used a desync that actually knocked me into Popo's grab). Wobbled, dead. I got him on separations a few times, but missed L-cancels and wavelands killed me. Game 2, BF, more of the same. I did manage to mash out of the Wobble once, though (hence not a perfect infinite). His game was ENTIRELY wobble based. If I could have avoided those grabs, I would have probably two or three stocked him. Instead, I got 2-0'd.

Losers first game was a Ganon ditto with a kid new to competitive melee. We made it just fun. I got a triple dair into uair into WF spike. 2-0'd him.

Second losers set was against a low-mid level Marth. Game one was close, but I ended up clutching it out after many tech flubs on the last stock with some decent edgeguarding. Game two was very similar, came down to edgeguarding on the last stock and I just messed up the spacing on the uair. He made it back and fsmashed me. Game three was quite possibly the worst I have ever played. One genuine SD, one TERRIBLE recovery, and one bad stock made it a blowout. On my last stock, I had a legendary recovery, though. I hugged him once, he came out and missed the dair, so I hugged him again, and he came out and missed the fair and I hugged him again and he came out and daired me (I was at the top of the screen), I got the "cancel," and went for another hug. He baired me, SD'd, and hit me high enough that I recovered.

In other news, watched RockCrock wreck face. I watched him play like I was studying videos and I realized that the biggest difference in level between him and me is decision making. He ALWAYS makes the right choice, whereas I just kinda go for something and hope it works, because I don't remember the right choice.

Wow this feels like one of the write-ups @Coastward would do back in the day.

Many ICs in my region are consistent wobblers. I've nearly taken sets vs. PR ICs players in my region, so I consider myself ok at the MU.

My strat is to always mash. It will actually disrupt normally sound wobblers. If they see that you'll actually break out of a grab if they're not perfect, it will disrupt their gameplay in some cases.

Get good at converting off separations and you'll be really solid in the MU. And always DI away on throws. Sopo has a chain grab. But it's harder for him when he has to dash JC grab.

Never attack ICs up-b or side-b on start up. Space around that. Hell, even use ledge invincibility to take out some things.

YvngFlameHoe YvngFlameHoe yeah the bar being right next to the casino does me in every time after pools lol. 2-0'd my pool except a sheik player that chaingrabbed perfectly, lost 2-1.

This pains me to hear, not enough quality Ganon content out there, I can never get enough. Congrats on the win though.

noghrilla gets salty af online on anther's
like he will lie about online and irl results like nothing else

I was practicing some falcon for the last two days and I honestly think that after practicing ganon tech falcon tech is ez
Everything from haxdashes, moonwalks, and even combo conversions that I couldn't do was so much easier for me to do.

edit: here is some peoples discussing nogh

I feel like Hax dashing is easier cause RLD is harder, moonwalks are the same since they're both dash first it's just Falcon's goes farther, and since nair doesn't suck with Falcon, it's makes extending combo's easier
