How many of us actually have a Wii U/3DS?

Smash Bros is one of my favorite games and when it comes out I'll be hard pressed not to get either a Wii U or a 3DS. For now though, I have neither, and wonder how many of us have any of these systems.

For discussion, in a addition to the poll, do you guys think that there will be a large spike in Wii U and/or 3DS sales when this game comes out? Do you think people will buy them before(or even now) just because the announcement sparked some interest in the systems?

I currently only own a 3DS, but I plan on getting a Wii U this summer, after exams are over.

Honestly, I think that has a lot to do with why Nintendo keeps churning out Smash Brothers games. They are console sellers. And yes I will be getting one of these consoles primarily for smash. The other reason will be either A Link Between Worlds or Zelda U depending on which conosle I end up going with. Darn it, I'm going to end up having to get both aren't I?

I own a 3DS, and so should everybody. It's a fantastic gaming platform.

I am going to buy a WiiU once Smash hits retail.

Truly, I bought a Wii U primarily for Smash but also because I knew there were going to be games for it I'd want (Pikmin 3 being one of the initial ones, obviously Zelda U later and hopefully a new installment in the "true" 3D Mario series (64, Sunshine, Galaxy) but it's not looking likely) but the console has served me well so far and it's got even more to come.

I do think this will spike sales in both, to what degree is debatable. Honestly part of me wishes I had held out on my 3DS and waited until they made a special Smash Bros with the logo on it or something... that'd be rad.

At the moment I have only a 3DS, but I do plan on getting a Wii U at least when the new Smash comes out, unless I end up finding some other game on the Wii U I really want to play. Even though the Wii U itself does seem rather interesting, I need to find some sort of a "reason" to pick one up. Still, I'm tempted...

I bought a 3DS at launch, but since then it's all but completely unplayable due to the L button having collapsed on me (took it apart, cut the wire, still nothing. The L button is just always held down, which makes playing games like Pokemon, Mario Kart and the like flat out impossible).

I've been wanting both a Wii U and a new 3DS for what seems like years now. Hoping I can manage something in time for Pokemon X/Y.

At the moment I only have a 3DS. I bought it not too long ago to be ready for Pokemon X/Y.
I didn't like any games on the Wii U enough to buy one, but the announced ones look really great.
The games I'm interested in are: Mario 3D World (finally a multiplayer 3D game, I've waited for this since Mario Party 1), Mario Kart 8, Sonic Lost World, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and of course the new Super Smash Bros.

These games are definitely enough for me to buy a Wii U. Now I'm just waiting for a big enough price drop or for DKC/Smash to come out (the others are nice, but my brother already has a Wii U and if I really want to play them that badly I could still buy them without a Wii U).
The games I'm buying the Wii U for are Smash and DKCTF, because I know that I will play them all the them when they're out.

Got both of them this year off of eBay. I saved about 60 bucks off the retail price for the bundle I got for the 3DS and about 160 bucks off for the Wii U bundle.

3D Mario being a failure/dissapointment imo...not what i wanted/was expecting....

If Retro's Game was a Metroid or a DK64 Like Sequal coming out this year but its not...

Them 3 main points...also i havent played Wind Waker before really looking forward to playing it on WiiU but its not worth Souly getting a WiiU for...the game i wanna play the most on WiiU atm is Super Metroid LOL...

No other WiiU games intrest me at all....

Also yh i gotta 3DS pretty much souly because of PKMN X & Y ima defo get that!

Depending on the direction Smash4 takes, I'll either get a WiiU or a PS4.

I have both a WiiU and a 3DS.

And I feel like a lot of people will only buy these systems mainly for Smash Bros. It's a game worth buying the system for. Just like how I'm only getting a PS4 for Kingdom Hearts 3.

There's no reason to drop almost $400 on the Wii U right now. I'll wait for a price drop/Smash release, whichever comes first.

3DS on the other hand is a very good system. <3 Etrian Odyssey 4.

Got my 3DS recently along with Fire Emblem Awakening <3 Hopefully Uprising soon as well. I'm going to have to wait a bit to get the Wii U for Sonic Lost World and Smash though.

I own a 3DS. Got one last X-mas for KH Dream Drop Distance. Don't plan on getting a Wii U till we get an official release date for Smash 4. If I got one now, it would just collect dust and sit there as there are no games currently in the market for Wii U that are worth playing.
