If you didn't play Melee then why would this matter to you?

I'm honestly curious.

His nerfs or buffs would have no impact on your opinion of him if you have no idea how he was previously, is this not correct?

I didn't play melee back in the day... I don't even have all the characers unlocked, so I'm no melee marth master, meaning don't take what I say as someone knowing WTF they are talking about.

The biggest nerfs I see are:

His fsmash is much better in melee. It had great range and a bigger hitbox for it's sweet spot. It was the best fsmash ever (erm? I think? LOL).

His grabs in that game aren't ********. He had a good enough grab range to actually approach with a grab. Don't think about doing that in this game.

Sword range: a lot of his attacks have comparable, but some are just way shorter. Most of his attacks have like 75% of his melee range and others just make you want his melee range back.

EL right as always! Why do you honestly care if you don't/didn't play melee? Or why would anyone care for that matter? I mean this is brawl now, why does it matter how Marth used to play, it matters how he plays now. Stop living in the past people.

Iono, maybe he's just curious why people around him bicker about Marth's new weaknesses... People still live in the pass y'know?! haha

I liked Roy... I played Marth, cuz I got my *** kicked (as Roy)

Jab is slower
Tip is shorter (less range)
Spike Game gone
Grabs (play differently)
No DB recovery (which is Fair Recovery now, really...)

On the plus...

Fair, Nair, Uair, Bair are awesome...
Shieldbreaker is a nice spacer (plus recovery? which isn't really useful against good players)
Dtilt, Ftit are great... Dtilt is dominant for walling...
DB is easer to pull off...
