I can press B super fast. Or at least what I though was super fast. The only way I could do like boss is if I flipped the controller upside down and put my index finger on the 'b' button.

Hahaha! That's pure comedy gold!

For me, it's always been about vibrating your forearm. From Track & Field on the NES, to breaking cinder blocks in Mortal Kombat in the SNES, to helping my cousin with that one strength thingy on Star Fox Adventures for the GameCube. I just use my thumb now instead of my index.

The ladies love it. o_O

I'm super cerial. Turn on the Wii, go into training mode with Luigi, change the speed to 1/4th, drop from the stage and then tap B as fast as you can without jumping. With the game at 1/4th speed, you'll see how much you can really rise if you had super fingers. You can go the same height as you can if you had used a jump! Try it.

You get better with practice and time. Practice a bit with the console turned off. You'll eventually find a comfortable position that works for you.

i think boss is a pretty cool guy, eh flies high and doesn't afraid of anything

Honestly though it's not that hard. What I always do is just flex my bicep, which makes my arm shake, which makes my finger tap the button really, really fast. You can do this with your thumb or index, but I've done this in fast-button games for as long as I remember.

Though I've played with both Boss and Vist and neither of them alter their hand placement at all...it's kinda spooky, I always wonder how they do it...

If i'm not fastfalling, i'm able to gain 2-3 luigi heights so that's ok i guess :p

Oh yeah, he beats me at everything else. But at least I can say I can bust out insane jumpless rising cyclones with my thumb. That's all I have; don't take it away from me!

Setting two buttons to specials probably wouldn't help, methinks. You'd end up overlapping button press and button release events from both buttons you set to special. I don't believe brawl is set up to 'count' inputs in those cases...

Also, I'm with Elh on the vibrating fore-arm thing... Except, whenever I played a game requiring uber amounts of button pressing, I whipped out a pen and slid it rapidly onto and off of the very edge of the button I was assaulting. By using the pen, I got rid of the friction between my fingers and the controller. By extending the radius from my elbow, I didn't have to vibrate as far. The result of doing both: less distance equals less momentum equals less power necessary to change direction equals higher frequency. :-D Well, that's the case as long as the pen doesn't get caught on the edge of the button... :-(

Too bad for me, though; it's kind of hard to really quickly bring out a pen in the middle of a game. <_<

I changed from using the Wiimote+Nunchuck to the Classic Controller for this reason. I loved the Wiimote+Nunchuck, but pressing B really fast when it's on the back of the controller is way too hard. I mean, how fast can you mash the trigger of a gun?

When I switched to the CC and began using Jumpless Rising Cyclones (JRC from now on, got it?) I would go to bed with a sore forarm. Took me a few days to realize it was caused by Brawl. But now, it's like second nature. Just vibrate the forarm guys.

Somthing like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IWDRARv8k0

Basically Boss does whatever he wants b/c he's the ****.
Boss is inhuman i know. We all witnessed him getting ***** by a barrage of projectile items by jash's TL in Apex MM XD <3

LMAO ROFL! Why didnt i think of this? i should try this. but i still find this hella funny lmao

Boss uses his index finger. No upside-down controller stuff though.
Uh which one is your index finger again? >_> LOL But either way, Boss is a beast.

It was even harder to do it in Melee IIRC. I suppose after doing it so much in melee, it got easier and easier over time.

I can get pretty high as well by "vibrating your forearm" and using my index finger. It helps to sort of buffer it after you do your sideB. It also gives you time to get your arm ready to tap.

Since it's momentum based, buffering helps you not mistakenly fastfall. Plus, since the Green Missile slows your fall speed, it also becomes easier to get a Rising Cyclone. Put those two things together, and it makes doing a Jumpless Rising Cyclone out of a GM much better.
