The way I see things... people are idiots. There is no hope for a world filled with people who refuse to think. People are by nature shallow, ignorant, and greedy for money, power, and sex. I have found myself wondering whether I... or anyone for that matter... have the right to exist.

Are there good people out there? Yes. I would hope I'm one of them. Can these people accomplish much? No... not really. They are a minority.

Yeah I know I sound negative... but in all honesty I am usually optimistic... but this is one subject that requires my use of the pessimist way of thought.

There is no use in worrying about the world. Just work on your own life. You don't like global warming... do what you can in your own life to not contribute so much/at all. You don't like Osama... I mean Obama... then don't vote for him. You don't like how Nintendo made Brawl/Melee... then don't play the one you don't like.

Birth-procreation-death? I refuse to believe that that's all to life. I may not be making much sense anymore, but there's gotta be more to life than that. When you say we have no real purpose, I'm thinking we have no real point in living, but only for the sake of living.

I'm sorry, but I just can't believe that. There's more in life.....I just know it.

Maybe I went a little overboard with the "Grand Purpose" thing. I think what I was trying to say was that everything happens for a reason, and that there's some grand scheme behind it all.

I know I sound blindly optimistic on all this. Unfortunately, it's just how I view things. You'd think I would have learned my lesson by now.
Your reason for living is whatever you decide it is. You don't need some "grand purpose" (I still don't even know what would be considered a grand purpose) to tell you what to do. Why live your life for some abstract reason you don't even understand?

I can see the irony of this one post but can we really not help but have sex as it's our only means of reproduction? Or money because now you really need it to get around? The power part however is given to a bunch of morons that shouldn't really have had it (Bush...).
The lust for using sex as a way to feel joy. People are using it as a way for entertainment and ways in media. The world sickens me. You don't need money. You want it; there are other ways to live such as farming and learning all sorts of trades for yourself; unless you're too **** lazy. Don't blame Bush, I bet you've agreed with quite a few things yourself and not willing to admit it.

Don't get me started or I might flame everyone to God knows where. (That isn't being logical or has no backup.)

My good sir, I wish...people weren't so corrupt; otherwise I'd have more faith in government.

You know there's more to life? Or you just hope for it?

Birth-procreation-death is certainly a stripped down summary of life. There are little nuances, of course, but as far as "purpose" goes, that's really all we have. That's ONE thing all life forms have in common—instinct to reproduce (even if you can't). You're born, you make a baby (maybe), and then you die. Then your baby does the same. It's not really "purpose"; it's just the inescapable pattern we've always followed.

Maybe I went a little overboard with the "Grand Purpose" thing. I think what I was trying to say was that everything happens for a reason, and that there's some grand scheme behind it all.
That's a pleasant thought, but I can't help but think that this is you (and several others) searching for security. There's no real reason to believe in a "grand scheme" other than the fact that the presence of one would make us all feel better.

Because that's what we're all always looking for—validation. We all want a sense of worth. We want a lot of money so that people will think we're successful. We want to be famous so that people will remember us. We all want to be "somebody". I think that's why we're all so obsessed with the idea of a "purpose". We like to think that we all have some great purpose that makes us worth the air we breathe. We all have value. We all matter. We're all needed.

Unfortunately, as far as the universe is concerned, we're all nobody.

I know I sound blindly optimistic on all this. Unfortunately, it's just how I view things. You'd think I would have learned my lesson by now.
I fully support optimism. It's far too rare a resource in this thread. But I think you can be optimistic while still being realistic. It's not at all impossible to be happy and still be safe in the knowledge that we're all equivalent to grains of sand on a beach. We don't need to be vital cogs in the machine of the universe in order to be happy with our lives and live them to the fullest.

tl;dr: None of us matter, but don't worry. Be happy! :)

You know let me start with the money just because it will take up fewer words. I just mentioned that we "NEED" money because most things you wouldn't be able to have without it, a house...food you can't grow yourself if you aren't a farmer, clothes to put on your back, and you can't make that unless you had the tailoring tools. Maybe you could still live life without it but that is highly doubtful

As for the sex...I can't honostly tell you my real opinion because I am still a virgin as I should be for my age, and I probably wouldn't be able to tell you for a long time to come, however on what I do know about it, I get no joy out of it if other men only do it for the pleasure when it was suppose to be meant as an art, and a one time-deal with only one VERY special woman...also people mention how being a parent is probably the best thing in the world, however what sex leads to is probably 9-months of hell, I couldn't even imagine all the **** women take from men, periods, labor, etc. Well, what else have I not mentioned, I need to be very careful with a subject as delicate as this...uhm...yeah i guess I already said it, I feel dirty stooping to that level, and I hate myself whenever I think perverted thoughts.

You know, this is going offtopic, however, for the guy above me who claims that nothing ryhmes with circus...how about furnace?

No one's mentioned that one before. Kudos.

Anyway, kinda. You could probably throw it in a song and no one would give you any heat for it.

Although a song that attempts to relate a circus to a furnace is probably rubbish anyway.

Who says you have to buy food?

Polygamy? Africa? In certain tribes, you were required to have more wives as a display of power.

Funny. Explain the one child rule in China.

You never said it yet, and I doubt you hate yourself when it happens. It's only natural; blame your hormones.

It's not off topic. It's related to my post which is related to the OP.

No, not the wall of "I own you" text, I can't tell whether to take that as an insult or if he is trying to tell me something. I am confused!

Oh, what a comeback. Seriously if you're going to attempt to flame me do it with something more interesting than "Stop being a prick."

Fine. Convince me to "stop being a prick".

What comeback? What are you talking about? You were being a prick. It's not about flaming. What am I supposed to say to "convince me"? Are you dense? Uh, stop doing it because people don't enjoy it. I don't need to "persuade" you to stop being an anus. It's ironic that even in this thread I should have to explain this fundamental law of society.

You seem to think that because some moderator ticked your name off the Smash Debaters sign up sheet that you're in this upper echelon of intellect. You're not. There's nothing impressive about one line nonsensical arguments, asinine comments, acting like the prototypical "debate hall" member, and being unnecessarily rude to people who genuinely don't deserve it.

In this thread alone, from each of your posts, you've given off this huge vibe of being a pseudo-intellectual poster with barrels of unwarranted self-importance.

This back and forth is my favourite of the bunch:

You should state which kind of war. War is not limited to physical violence.
It immediately flags you up as a pompous *******. "Why don't you go ahead and specify you stupid dreg. Not that I expect you to produce the right answer - we'll come to that in a minute"

Verbal and Physical. It'd be nice for some specifics. :D
"Heh, your thoughts on the matter are cute - but in reality, what you actually meant was -"

----

Perhaps, in time, you'll look back upon the way you're behaving here and shudder accordingly.

I view the world as round, with a surface covered in 71% water and 29% land. Humans are the dominant lifeform, with ants and cockroaches not far behind.
These humans have an odd heirachical structure, designed to pin all the problems on the person highest on the heirarchy.
These humans also sacrifice longevity for a thick layer of fat and enjoy staring into glass screens with mixtures of light colors behind them.
They also seem to have lost long distance use of their legs and must instead use escalators, vehicles, moving floors and two wheeled leening scooter things to transport themselves.

this world is doomed and cursed for wars to come, obviously there is some peace but also war which I believe it will always be that way, or even worse just war because of the simple little disagreements between communist leaders who are fueled by devotion which ultimetly results in a war.

Marty, I thank you for coming to my defense, but please don't incinerate L, I've seen him around the forums, he isn't a bad guy, and I am sure what he had said had nothing to back it up, in other words he was kidding...however it would be nice if he or somebody else could quote me on what I had said and agree/disagree to what I had said, doesn't anybody else feel that same way in a sense or all you all bloodhounds for women? :(

Then he's going to attempt to get me worked up or say what I'm doing is stupid.

I agreed with most of this, with the exception of a few things.

Like sex is meant to be an art? I don't think so. Art is often sex... but not vice versa.

It is true that at its simplest and most primitive level, sex is just the way of reproducing.

But we are supposed to live in a civilized world. That means we should take a more... mature (for lack of a better word) attitude towards sex. Sex should be with ONE person (maybe 2 if your marriage ends in divorce)... NOT everyone of the opposite (hopefully) gender. The general attitude towards sex completely undermines our claims to a civilized world. People are ****ing for pleasure and not for actual love. Then the media glamorizes it on television where children (and anyone underage for that matter) can see it!

I also agree with your attitude that women go through a lot. I hardly know anything about women but I am still smart enough to know some of what they go through. Simply put... being a woman must suck.

My biggest issue with your statement is probably your self-inflicted guilt trip... You should not feel bad when you think perverted thoughts. That is perfectly natural. It has been proven that the average guy thinks about sex every few seconds. Its not your "evil side"... its just hormones.

Being a woman is okay...having to crap from men suck, or at least some people could think of it that way. Thank you for your comments.

...me and psychopathicemus were having a "profound" conversation about this...sort of.

PsychopathicEmus (11:38:15 PM): you don't think life is simple huh?
PsychopathicEmus (11:38:22 PM): yeah i'm not so convinced of that anymore
PsychopathicEmus (11:38:27 PM): let's talk about it
PsychopathicEmus (11:38:30 PM): tell me why life isn't simple
da1 chipmnk (11:38:44 PM): ....
da1 chipmnk (11:38:47 PM): well
da1 chipmnk (11:38:49 PM): the life of today
da1 chipmnk (11:38:56 PM): is requiring higher standards of living
da1 chipmnk (11:39:06 PM): which means everyone has to work intensely harder
PsychopathicEmus (11:39:08 PM): why's that?
da1 chipmnk (11:39:08 PM): than our ancestors
da1 chipmnk (11:39:15 PM): becuase...
PsychopathicEmus (11:39:17 PM): why does life today require higher standards of living?
da1 chipmnk (11:39:20 PM): nations are competing against each other
da1 chipmnk (11:39:26 PM): to prove that "we" are better..
da1 chipmnk (11:39:29 PM): so
da1 chipmnk (11:39:30 PM): to do that
da1 chipmnk (11:39:37 PM): they increase the education of the public
da1 chipmnk (11:39:50 PM): as well as setting the "standard" of what is to be.
da1 chipmnk (11:39:55 PM): >.>
PsychopathicEmus (11:40:11 PM): and why does it matter to be better?
da1 chipmnk (11:40:32 PM): ...people will always have the urge inside them to prove they are better
da1 chipmnk (11:40:36 PM): it's man's nature
da1 chipmnk (11:40:37 PM): and by man
da1 chipmnk (11:40:41 PM): i mean mankind
PsychopathicEmus (11:40:46 PM): and let's say
da1 chipmnk (11:40:46 PM): not just males
PsychopathicEmus (11:40:52 PM): somebody is able to overcome that urge?
da1 chipmnk (11:41:01 PM): heh...
da1 chipmnk (11:41:02 PM): funny.
da1 chipmnk (11:41:09 PM): care to name someone as of recent?
PsychopathicEmus (11:41:39 PM): nobody i know
PsychopathicEmus (11:41:41 PM): i'm trying
da1 chipmnk (11:41:51 PM): ...i see.
PsychopathicEmus (11:41:51 PM): though i guess that's what people would call
PsychopathicEmus (11:41:53 PM): lack of ambition
da1 chipmnk (11:41:56 PM): ...
da1 chipmnk (11:41:58 PM): lack of ambition
da1 chipmnk (11:42:03 PM): to acquire a lower standard?
PsychopathicEmus (11:42:10 PM): or rather
PsychopathicEmus (11:42:17 PM): to live by your standard
da1 chipmnk (11:42:25 PM): "your standard"
da1 chipmnk (11:42:30 PM): as you would like to put it..
da1 chipmnk (11:42:33 PM): heh..
PsychopathicEmus (11:42:35 PM): one's standard
da1 chipmnk (11:42:47 PM): no one lives ...by their own standard anymore..
PsychopathicEmus (11:43:06 PM): you think so?
da1 chipmnk (11:43:12 PM): yessir
PsychopathicEmus (11:43:21 PM): you're probably right
da1 chipmnk (11:43:30 PM): i havent seen anyone..
da1 chipmnk (11:43:33 PM): that lived their way
da1 chipmnk (11:43:36 PM): because they wanted to
da1 chipmnk (11:43:43 PM): let's see
da1 chipmnk (11:43:46 PM): TV's...
PsychopathicEmus (11:43:46 PM): haha
PsychopathicEmus (11:43:48 PM): honestly
da1 chipmnk (11:43:49 PM): people want it..
da1 chipmnk (11:43:52 PM): because
PsychopathicEmus (11:43:55 PM): if i could do it without giving up technology
da1 chipmnk (11:43:58 PM): everyone else wants the spread..
PsychopathicEmus (11:43:59 PM): i'd live alone in a forest
da1 chipmnk (11:44:00 PM): of tech
da1 chipmnk (11:44:01 PM): ...
da1 chipmnk (11:44:03 PM): >..
da1 chipmnk (11:44:29 PM): so
da1 chipmnk (11:44:39 PM): 3 minutes and the discussion dies?
PsychopathicEmus (11:44:44 PM): and that's why i think i'm revising my statement to "life should be simple"
da1 chipmnk (11:44:48 PM): lol
da1 chipmnk (11:44:50 PM): okay
PsychopathicEmus (11:44:53 PM): since i can't live by my own standard
PsychopathicEmus (11:44:57 PM): or live the way i want to
da1 chipmnk (11:44:58 PM): loooool..
PsychopathicEmus (11:45:00 PM): then i have no right
da1 chipmnk (11:45:01 PM): well
PsychopathicEmus (11:45:05 PM): to say life is simple
da1 chipmnk (11:45:06 PM): to live the way i want to
da1 chipmnk (11:45:11 PM): i've sort of achieved it
PsychopathicEmus (11:45:15 PM): have you?
da1 chipmnk (11:45:18 PM): although i'm not as good as smash as i'd like to be
PsychopathicEmus (11:45:24 PM): ><
PsychopathicEmus (11:45:30 PM): y'see
PsychopathicEmus (11:45:35 PM): one reason i like "hakuna matata" so much
PsychopathicEmus (11:45:39 PM): is that i want to believe in it
da1 chipmnk (11:45:41 PM): no worries..
da1 chipmnk (11:45:41 PM): lol
PsychopathicEmus (11:45:54 PM): i want to believe that there shouldn't be worries

Another great thread. Perhaps something can be inferred from similar settings of the past; in how many different eras did philosophers/scholars ponder rarefied truths while wars waged outside. I assume events continue as so. Yes people say we are more civilized in our modern times, but I find that difficult to believe.

The world we live in is a hectic place, put rather than pulling a plowshare, and coming home covered in dirt and sweat and grime, people come home, filled with stress, angry, and battered by nerds gone bad(hackers, viruses, ya know, things angry nerds that got lots of wedgies do).

Simpler times and living by your own standards? I like it. But then, that's easier said than done.
Which is why in a later conversation, we said...

PsychopathicEmus (11:46:59 PM): no worries?
da1 chipmnk (11:47:01 PM): ...
da1 chipmnk (11:47:02 PM): fine
da1 chipmnk (11:47:08 PM): hakuna matata-ism

PsychopathicEmus (11:49:50 PM): interesting pondering
da1 chipmnk (11:49:57 PM): >.>
PsychopathicEmus (11:49:59 PM): is life or is it not simple..?
PsychopathicEmus (11:50:20 PM): i suppose it's kinda like quantum mechanics and special relativity can't both be right at the same time
da1 chipmnk (11:50:43 PM): ...
da1 chipmnk (11:50:47 PM): life is simple..
da1 chipmnk (11:50:51 PM): if we want to make it that way
PsychopathicEmus (11:51:09 PM): right!
PsychopathicEmus (11:51:14 PM): that's what i'm trying to tell calvin
PsychopathicEmus (11:51:45 PM): then again
PsychopathicEmus (11:51:48 PM): see
PsychopathicEmus (11:51:51 PM): life would be simple
PsychopathicEmus (11:51:52 PM): or at laest
PsychopathicEmus (11:51:54 PM): the potential
PsychopathicEmus (11:51:56 PM): would be greater
PsychopathicEmus (11:52:01 PM): if we only had ourselves to think about
da1 chipmnk (11:52:26 PM): ...
da1 chipmnk (11:52:34 PM): are you 100% sure?
PsychopathicEmus (11:53:15 PM): positive
da1 chipmnk (11:53:35 PM): hmmmm..
da1 chipmnk (11:53:36 PM): so
da1 chipmnk (11:53:37 PM): you're saying
da1 chipmnk (11:53:42 PM): you wouldn't miss your family
da1 chipmnk (11:53:47 PM): ...
PsychopathicEmus (11:53:49 PM): ahhhh see
da1 chipmnk (11:53:51 PM): family
PsychopathicEmus (11:53:51 PM): that
PsychopathicEmus (11:53:57 PM): is a problem
PsychopathicEmus (11:54:00 PM): if not THE problem
da1 chipmnk (11:54:02 PM): acquaintences
da1 chipmnk (11:54:03 PM): ...
PsychopathicEmus (11:54:07 PM): that is why humans complicate lives
da1 chipmnk (11:54:09 PM): i never said it was the problem..
da1 chipmnk (11:54:12 PM): like i said
PsychopathicEmus (11:54:13 PM): well
PsychopathicEmus (11:54:15 PM): i did
da1 chipmnk (11:54:15 PM): its only complicated
da1 chipmnk (11:54:18 PM): if you make it so
da1 chipmnk (11:54:21 PM): see,
da1 chipmnk (11:54:23 PM): all i need
da1 chipmnk (11:54:28 PM): besides the given food and water
da1 chipmnk (11:54:30 PM): and oxygen
da1 chipmnk (11:54:32 PM): all i need
da1 chipmnk (11:54:34 PM): is family
da1 chipmnk (11:54:35 PM): friends
da1 chipmnk (11:54:39 PM): place to stay
da1 chipmnk (11:54:42 PM): ....
da1 chipmnk (11:54:46 PM): then some basics..
da1 chipmnk (11:54:51 PM): like
da1 chipmnk (11:54:58 PM): electricity and ...
da1 chipmnk (11:55:00 PM): god say it
PsychopathicEmus (11:55:02 PM): smash?
da1 chipmnk (11:55:02 PM): plumbing
PsychopathicEmus (11:55:03 PM): =p
da1 chipmnk (11:55:09 PM): smash...
da1 chipmnk (11:55:12 PM): not a necessity
da1 chipmnk (11:55:14 PM): a luxury
da1 chipmnk (11:55:18 PM): as half my stuff was

=================================

PsychopathicEmus (12:05:54 AM): so i guess i concede
PsychopathicEmus (12:05:56 AM): life isn't simple
da1 chipmnk (12:06:09 AM): did i do that?
da1 chipmnk (12:06:15 AM): or was it yourself
da1 chipmnk (12:06:18 AM): in the shower..
PsychopathicEmus (12:07:57 AM): well
PsychopathicEmus (12:08:00 AM): that one time
da1 chipmnk (12:08:06 AM): ..?
PsychopathicEmus (12:08:10 AM): wasn't the first time i had a philosophical discussion with calvin
PsychopathicEmus (12:08:14 AM): been thinking about it for a while
da1 chipmnk (12:08:21 AM): oh
da1 chipmnk (12:08:21 AM): lol
PsychopathicEmus (12:08:34 AM): doesn't matter if it can be
PsychopathicEmus (12:08:36 AM): or should be
PsychopathicEmus (12:08:38 AM): it isn't
da1 chipmnk (12:08:43 AM): god
PsychopathicEmus (12:08:45 AM): the reason why is irrelevant
da1 chipmnk (12:08:48 AM): im going to have to argue this
da1 chipmnk (12:08:50 AM): life
da1 chipmnk (12:08:56 AM): is and isn't complicated
PsychopathicEmus (12:09:03 AM): yeah?
da1 chipmnk (12:09:05 AM): it would not have been complicated..
PsychopathicEmus (12:09:05 AM): it is and isn't
da1 chipmnk (12:09:15 AM): because
da1 chipmnk (12:09:19 AM): of the actions of our ancestors
da1 chipmnk (12:09:21 AM): everyone
da1 chipmnk (12:09:26 AM): lets think..
da1 chipmnk (12:09:29 AM): britain..
da1 chipmnk (12:09:31 AM): coming in
da1 chipmnk (12:09:34 AM): and colonizing africa
da1 chipmnk (12:09:39 AM): they had a simple life
da1 chipmnk (12:09:41 AM): in our minds
da1 chipmnk (12:09:46 AM): until...
da1 chipmnk (12:09:48 AM): >.>
da1 chipmnk (12:09:55 AM): then..
da1 chipmnk (12:09:56 AM): britain
da1 chipmnk (12:09:59 AM): came over
da1 chipmnk (12:10:05 AM): to "america"
da1 chipmnk (12:10:16 AM): or shall i say the land of the natives?
da1 chipmnk (12:10:20 AM): >.>
da1 chipmnk (12:10:26 AM): kicked their ***** out
da1 chipmnk (12:10:36 AM): and claimed it after amerigo vespucchi
da1 chipmnk (12:10:41 AM): creating war
da1 chipmnk (12:10:46 AM): creating a nation..
da1 chipmnk (12:10:53 AM): creating a competition
da1 chipmnk (12:10:59 AM): between america, and europe.
da1 chipmnk (12:11:08 AM): industrialization..
da1 chipmnk (12:11:11 AM): war...
da1 chipmnk (12:11:16 AM): greed
da1 chipmnk (12:11:19 AM): lust...
da1 chipmnk (12:11:28 AM): all tools to make life more difficult
PsychopathicEmus (12:12:07 AM): yup
da1 chipmnk (12:12:14 AM): so
PsychopathicEmus (12:12:15 AM): huh
da1 chipmnk (12:12:16 AM): we can say
da1 chipmnk (12:12:18 AM): if we didn't have these
PsychopathicEmus (12:12:22 AM): i still don't really know
PsychopathicEmus (12:12:25 AM): whether or not life is simple
da1 chipmnk (12:12:29 AM): we would be leading an easier life..
da1 chipmnk (12:12:34 AM): actually
da1 chipmnk (12:12:38 AM): if you want to get technical
da1 chipmnk (12:12:45 AM): life is complicated beyond measure...
da1 chipmnk (12:12:50 AM): but
da1 chipmnk (12:12:54 AM): the way we live it
da1 chipmnk (12:12:56 AM): is different
PsychopathicEmus (12:12:59 AM): i am tempted to say
PsychopathicEmus (12:13:00 AM): it's both
da1 chipmnk (12:13:08 AM): well
da1 chipmnk (12:13:12 AM): i stand by what i said.
PsychopathicEmus (12:13:38 AM): that it's not?
PsychopathicEmus (12:13:46 AM): simple that is
da1 chipmnk (12:13:51 AM): da1 chipmnk (12:12:45 AM): life is complicated beyond measure...
da1 chipmnk (12:12:50 AM): but
da1 chipmnk (12:12:54 AM): the way we live it
da1 chipmnk (12:12:56 AM): is different
PsychopathicEmus (12:14:04 AM): right
PsychopathicEmus (12:14:06 AM): huh....
PsychopathicEmus (12:14:09 AM): i don't know
PsychopathicEmus (12:14:13 AM): still convinced
PsychopathicEmus (12:14:20 AM): that there's truth
da1 chipmnk (12:14:20 AM): of?
PsychopathicEmus (12:14:23 AM): in "life is simple"
da1 chipmnk (12:14:34 AM): ...
da1 chipmnk (12:14:35 AM): this
da1 chipmnk (12:14:42 AM): can relate to what i said
da1 chipmnk (12:14:45 AM): but not entirely..
da1 chipmnk (12:14:54 AM): because
da1 chipmnk (12:14:58 AM): you can live out your life
da1 chipmnk (12:15:02 AM): carefree of disease
da1 chipmnk (12:15:07 AM): and any other ailments..
da1 chipmnk (12:15:13 AM): but
da1 chipmnk (12:17:07 AM): its whether or not you chose to deal with these things
da1 chipmnk (12:17:10 AM): that makes life difficult
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:14 AM): yup
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:16 AM): well
da1 chipmnk (12:17:23 AM): ...
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:23 AM): that's not quite the way i'm looking at it anymore
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:28 AM): life ---> death
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:29 AM): always
da1 chipmnk (12:17:32 AM): duh?
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:35 AM): right
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:37 AM): life is simple
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:46 AM): no but on a more serious note
da1 chipmnk (12:17:48 AM): ...
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:50 AM): if we're all going to die
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:52 AM): what matters?
PsychopathicEmus (12:17:58 AM): whether i'm richer than you are
da1 chipmnk (12:18:02 AM): i've asked myself this
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:05 AM): whether i'm "better" than you are
da1 chipmnk (12:18:06 AM): so many times...
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:10 AM): if 200 years from now
da1 chipmnk (12:18:10 AM): it wont matter
da1 chipmnk (12:18:13 AM): if we're dead
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:17 AM): right
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:24 AM): so then if nothing matters
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:28 AM): then all our worries
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:30 AM): everything we do
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:32 AM): is for naught
da1 chipmnk (12:18:45 AM): are you sure?
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:45 AM): and we complicate life
da1 chipmnk (12:18:49 AM): are you sure
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:53 AM): relative to ourselves
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:56 AM): everything is relative
PsychopathicEmus (12:18:58 AM): in my opinion
PsychopathicEmus (12:19:04 AM): well, except light
da1 chipmnk (12:19:07 AM): are you sure it's all for naught?
PsychopathicEmus (12:19:13 AM): well
PsychopathicEmus (12:19:13 AM): no
PsychopathicEmus (12:19:16 AM): that's why we're talking about it
PsychopathicEmus (12:19:17 AM): =p
da1 chipmnk (12:19:20 AM): no
da1 chipmnk (12:19:23 AM): ...
da1 chipmnk (12:19:26 AM): wait
da1 chipmnk (12:19:26 AM): nvm
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:19 AM): haha
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:23 AM): see
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:26 AM): relative to ourselves
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:28 AM): that is
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:31 AM): just me
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:33 AM): or just you
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:35 AM): it's for naught
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:38 AM): cuz you're dead
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:43 AM): no matter what
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:44 AM): and then again
PsychopathicEmus (12:20:48 AM): what does it matter that you're dead?
da1 chipmnk (12:20:51 AM): are you 100% sure theres no afterlife?
da1 chipmnk (12:21:00 AM): are you 100% we don't relive our lives?
PsychopathicEmus (12:21:02 AM): oh snap
da1 chipmnk (12:21:12 AM): are you 100% sure that we aren't reincarnated?
PsychopathicEmus (12:21:13 AM): almost
PsychopathicEmus (12:21:15 AM): almost 100%
da1 chipmnk (12:21:18 AM): that's not 100%
PsychopathicEmus (12:21:23 AM): exactly
PsychopathicEmus (12:21:33 AM): god
PsychopathicEmus (12:21:35 AM): maybe i should
PsychopathicEmus (12:21:38 AM): go down the path of socrates
PsychopathicEmus (12:21:42 AM): "i know nothing"

God L just reading your conversation makes my head hurt, I don't know what to think if life is simple or not, but what we choose to do makes it simple or complicate it...you know don't even reply me on this it will probably just make my head hurt worse...

da1 chipmnk (12:21:50 AM): ...
da1 chipmnk (12:21:55 AM): knowledge is relative?
da1 chipmnk (12:22:05 AM): wise men do not wear nametags
PsychopathicEmus (12:22:32 AM): knowledge too, is relative
PsychopathicEmus (12:22:37 AM): and wisdom cannot be communicated

da1 chipmnk (12:23:20 AM): intelligence...
da1 chipmnk (12:23:23 AM): is what you gather
da1 chipmnk (12:23:25 AM): over time

da1 chipmnk (12:24:32 AM): >.>
PsychopathicEmus (12:24:33 AM): that's knowledge
da1 chipmnk (12:24:35 AM): ....
da1 chipmnk (12:24:37 AM): to me
da1 chipmnk (12:24:41 AM): intel and knowledge
da1 chipmnk (12:24:43 AM): are one in the same
PsychopathicEmus (12:24:47 AM): ah
da1 chipmnk (12:24:48 AM): wisdom and intel
PsychopathicEmus (12:24:50 AM): i disagree
da1 chipmnk (12:24:51 AM): are far different
da1 chipmnk (12:25:07 AM): ...
da1 chipmnk (12:25:08 AM): here we go
PsychopathicEmus (12:25:15 AM): wisdom and intel
PsychopathicEmus (12:25:17 AM): are different
da1 chipmnk (12:25:23 AM): i agree..
PsychopathicEmus (12:25:23 AM): intel and knowledge are also different
da1 chipmnk (12:25:24 AM): >.>

PsychopathicEmus (12:26:30 AM): had to retake it
PsychopathicEmus (12:26:41 AM): exit exam is a test of your knowledge
PsychopathicEmus (12:26:49 AM): well
PsychopathicEmus (12:26:54 AM): i passed the exit exam no problem
da1 chipmnk (12:27:07 AM): ...

PsychopathicEmus (12:27:10 AM): this guy

da1 chipmnk (12:29:04 AM): *sigh*
da1 chipmnk (12:29:09 AM): lets see..
da1 chipmnk (12:29:15 AM): that
da1 chipmnk (12:29:21 AM): did not change my opinion at all
da1 chipmnk (12:29:25 AM): seeing as how
PsychopathicEmus (12:29:28 AM): well no
da1 chipmnk (12:29:29 AM): it didn't point me anywhere
PsychopathicEmus (12:29:36 AM): expirience-based

da1 chipmnk (12:30:37 AM): likewise

PsychopathicEmus (12:31:57 AM): more or less
da1 chipmnk (12:32:00 AM): ...
da1 chipmnk (12:32:05 AM): so..?
da1 chipmnk (12:32:07 AM): :p
PsychopathicEmus (12:32:24 AM): so that's a plus for me

PsychopathicEmus (12:33:17 AM): huh
PsychopathicEmus (12:33:20 AM): *scratches head
da1 chipmnk (12:33:20 AM): everyone is entitled to their opinions

Ahhhh!!! I just wanted to know what people see in this seemingly big world of ours, but this has seemed to evolve into something much more complicated.

To find simplicity in life is to sacrifice a lot of things you hold dear. I couldn't exactly run off and leave my family, that's for sure. And is there anything waiting for us in the afterlife? I believe there is. It be pretty depressing to think there's nothing at the end of the road when it's over.

Well...you're right on one part, this thread didn't turn out the way you wanted it to be, now if you had named it to something like...oh I dunno..."Life, and everything good and bad about it" it would make sense where this is going.
