Allan, just because you listen to Rush on the way to work and school doesn't mean you understand what is going on politically in the world. I also kind of think it's funny you assume I'm liberal (or even a democrat for that matter). I bet you I am more conservative than you are in the truest sense of what being conservative actually means.

But go ahead, support Romney and his facade of saying he doesn't like big government while all the while supporting spending more money. And I thought you were supposed to be a history buff? You don't understand the Middle East very well at all.

keep on trollin'

Just from your posts you have made you have confirmed you are not a conservative. You literally said you would rather have obama(who is potentially the most extreme liberal to ever taint the white house) than Romney. That literally is the proof.

And lol at u know knowing more about history/gov than me. I highly doubt it and your posts don't back it up either.

I'm not saying I approve of Obama's policies, I'm saying without control of congress, neither party will be able to pass through stinky legislation. Whereas if Romney has a Republican-controlled congress, it is likely he enacts on some of the policies he is campaigning on (which aren't very fiscally conservative, fyi).

This is a basic American government concept, and should not be difficult for someone who knows their history to understand.

Edit: Let me put it this way. My candidate is Ron Paul. Do I agree with everything he would want to do? Of course not, but I understand (and I think he does too) that more radical legislation wouldn't be approved by congress. He would be kept in check since he isn't especially in line with the priorities the GOP currently has on their agenda. What would go through I'm mostly likely to agree with out of all of the other candidates because he is extremely conservative and libertarian. So the policies and changes to law I could expect would likely be extremely appealing to me. Plus his knowledge of foreign policy is probably the most extensive.

I'm stopping with this post because the rest of the Houston thread probably does not want to discuss politics.

So its better to have a EXTREME liberal pres/congress pass bills left and right that damage this country than to have romney and Co gridlock/halt the passing of future bills? lol jesus christ this is bad.

There is a reason why Repubs/conservs won big time this past November. people are sick of obama and his dems in congress. if that doesnt tell you something is wrong, there is no hope.

What you posted is YOUR VIEWS not the "basic american government concept"

There is a reason why hes tried to run for pres and failed like 4 times. Hes not what the people want.

F them. Thread is filled with trash daily. this is the first time in months legit stuff has been posted.

PS: you do know that obama is in several undeclared wars right? Ones HE started or continued on with.

I am aware of Obama's track record. I'm not getting into any further discussion, though. Sorry Allan. I agree that I find these discussions more interesting but pretty much no one else does to my knowledge, and I'm not going to be "that guy."
