I'm not saying MK isn't the best character nor am I saying MK can't run. People just have more MK experience and in most tournaments LGL takes away his planking. He can still play gay, but he has to actively approach to put on damage.

IMO we are seeing a rise in certain characters because they have setups that do solid damage (CGs) and they can camp fairly well. Also all of them are repped so much less often than MK that people aren't as solid on the MU.

lol, I just had the realization that MK is top character, without a single projectile or chaingrab. And that there are only two other high-tier characters without them.

I never realized how much those are relied on...
