I'm going to Austin's next weekend anyways, who's already pretty close to the Gamestop the event is at. Just gotta leave early in the morning with whoever else is going over there. I wouldn't mind getting in some matches locally with some of the players there either, besides the free-for-alls. Maybe show them a little about our new Smash 4 scene coming up.

I'm surprised that as a TO of an upcoming tournament, you would refuse to go to this.

It gives you a chance to play friendlies, talk to/recruit newcomers, promote your tourney, etc., unless you have work or Claire...

Otherwise, you're being silly and you know it.

You misread. There are 16 local tournaments total. Only the winner of each one gets to go to New York.

Also, someone posted and claimed that the Gamestop listed there (Sync's Battle Network series venue) has actually closed down. They went by to double check and took a picture too. It's been turned into a massage place.
