Shaya, unless we post porn or make fake accounts or whatever, please please please don't mod us. For over 6 years we have been double/triple posting and not giving a care about the quality of the thread. The more mods mod this place the less people wanna post here and in turn move to FB.

More than half the community has turned to FB and P:M anyways. It's the new generation of advertising streams for money and playing the new thing that's basically the old thing but worse.
It's too late, also it really depends the people chosen for mod. Since P4 Sky pirate and Zac aren't mod for Southwest anymore, we currently have 0 anyways. If it's someone like K prime or something he'll moderate if he sees the stuff or he sniffs out the reports like the hamster he is.

Though to be honest, I'm more of surprised snoreboreds keeps random content mods for places like melee or brawl discussion/sub-forums since most of the places that're modded are dead.

You have to understand that each weapon plays a role.

You're using SNS, so your damage output is going to be trash compared to other swordmaster weapons, but you'll have an easier time applying status and also can slightly help apply KO damage if you shield bash (however, this is not something you should be focused, especially when a hammer user is around).

Try reading some weapon guides on what are good skills to use. I honestly cannot tell you since I have next to none SnS experience.

I would encourage you to use the other weapons, maybe switchaxe or hammer? I am not an expert with them, but I can definitely help you with those.

What weapons have a shield? This game throws obscene damage at you so a shield is a must.

You don't need a shield. Just don't be mindlessly aggressive when you attack. Just seeing you guys rush S.Uragaan while near a narrow loading zone amused me, because the he only needs do a chin slam/fart attack and you guys would not be able avoid the attack in time.

You can always use skills to help dodging, such as Evasion +1/+2 and Evade Distance.

You also need to recognize attack tells and paths. You can eventually get to a point where you can stand a certain spot and attacks will completely miss you. Just have to learn.

When do you normally play? I would love to do some more hunts, it's been too long..

As far as modding goes, lmao just do exactly what Xyro said and it'll be perfect.

I really miss the Houston board and hope it makes a revival over facebook for Smash 4 (like it should).

RT, I play around 10-10:15 usually.

Tonight I can play at 8:30.

I found out that my glacial Agna armor is for lance users so I need something else.

I need a good armor set that gives to fire attack or sharpness or attack up.

As for a weapon, I wanna make a Mornifestation. I need to farm Dire and Brachy I think.

A level up system would not work with MH. It's all about armor skills and weapons. The only levels/ranks is HR, and there is no point in maxing it out unless you are a turbo nerd.

You can block 99% of all attacks in the game, and you can 100% dodge/avoid all attacks with the right skills. GIT GUD.

There is a MH3U encyclopediadex and various resources that can help you find the the parts/skills you desire

So it does sound like they modified Shuttle Loop to include the glide attack as part of the actual move, just no gliding...

And Mach Tornado is probably the same move. I wonder if it will have a custom move where it reflects back projectiles...

The sad part is that they really did try to justify his strong moves and amazing recovery options with the "he's light so he'll die earlier" reasoning.

I'm just making educated guess based on the translations.

But re-read MK's description. They tried using the archetype "fast and powerful but low health" (aka Phoenix). But it doesn't translate well into a game with no set HP levels.

"Great speed", "more range". It's not like side-b is -that slow- or -short range- in Brawl.
Just made me think they gave MK a phantasm that would have multiple hits, haha.

RT or Zano. I have the Dire Miralis armor set but I'm a S&S user. What should I gem into it? What charm should I use as well?

I think that armor has negative stamina, so you'd def want to put gems into that to get rid of the negative effect. Other than that, it has pretty great skills on it's own, so basically gem in w/e you can based on what charms you have available and what slots are left after you get rid of the negative stamina (you only need to get it to -9, no need to get rid of any more than that).

I am considering hosting a brawl fest tonight or tomorrow night. Would any of you be interested? I will also be inviting people outside of this thread but I can't say how many people will show up because I'm still panning. I live by the Galleria.

Each charm (you equip this) or jewel (these are set in weapons/armor) has points towards a particular skill, positive or negative. If you want a particular skill, you need to put points toward that skill to get it, usually 10 (upgraded skills require more points).

There are also bad skills which you can get by having enough negative points. This is guaranteed to happen for any full armor set. You can "gem" this bad skill out by making sure the total is less than -10.

You can check your totals in the Status menu.

You should really look up a guide. I know it isn't explained very well with the in-game manual. Once you do, it's easy to understand.

It doesn't matter which slot you use, just that you have enough from the whole armor set. I think that armor already has the attack up skill so you don't have to worry about that. If you want more fire damage, there are gems to buff up fire damage. When you want more sharpness, do you just want it to last longer before you have to sharpen it, or do you want the quality of the sharpness buffed? because the latter is a pretty rare skill that you won't really get unless the armor has it. There's also a skill to sharpen faster so it only takes one swipe.

Can't do Saturday nights I'm usually booked at nights. Friday evenings or Sundays could work for me sometime for sure.

I went to the galleria for the Nintendo Event. Pretty 3ds/2ds heavy. Smash was the E3 demo but had like 16 stations to play. Pivot jabs were really easy to do. Great for poking mechanics.

Practically no lines when I was there. It's at the galleria skating rink. They have a Mario kart tournament as well.

Bring your 3ds though. There's like 50 2ds there so you'll get a bunch of street passes lol
