If custom moves become legal, I'm pretty sure EVO will not have 20+ Wii Us with all custom moves unlocked, unless they are community provided.

Or better yet, they must be self-provided via 3DS. And then you'll have to limit how much time people spend between matches which custom moves to assign. And then you have to check to make sure no one is sneaking in added equip effects.

So much for saving time.

More like, they should have made it so that you can use the in-game gold to purchase custom move/headgear/outfits via lottery or shop or whatever. You know what you get for finishing all the challenges? 2,000,000 useless gold. Like...really now? Terrible game design.

It really is a giant **** you. Like, not even a trophy, just useless gold.

At least it isn't 3DS version. Still missing a lot of headgear since grinding is butt. But once I get my New 3DS XL, gonna put my Amiibos to work. They will be my loyal slaves.

And wow, so that method will be used to keep customs legal. All the work and time instead of just saying no...it honestly should be so that if someone wants custom moves, the person must bring a 3DS with the moves unlocked. The burden should be on the players who wants to use them because most people will not use them, unless some crazy person has everything unlocked (i.e. me).

I honestly knew Evo would be 2 stocks. Apex did it and they look to save time hence Melee last year WF and LFs being 2/3.
5 minutes is For Glory rules but I could see them doing 6.

Customs is also a near future we will see at other events around the country. People at least want to try them out.

Now if it's 1 stock 2 mins (LOLOL) then no effing way I would go. 2 stocks just means I'd have to think about it but would most likely go. It'd be my one out of state trip of the year.

The Evo rules will be finalized on March 27th 2015. If 2 or 3 stocks + no customs are confirmed, I will attend EVO 110%.

If you are serious about housing with me in a hotel, PM me NOW so I can go ahead and get a head count, look up rooms and calculate cost. If prices are good, I'll go ahead and buy a room. The week of Evo yall can pay me.

My room has 4 simple rules:

1. Sleeping/showering/touching nips is the only activity in the room.
2. No smash AT ALL.
3. If you slam doors (bathroom door/hotel room door), you get your money back, you sleep outside and you are banned from TGC until Jan 1st 2099.
4. If you snore like a ****ing rhinoceros, you get your money back, sleep outside and are banned from TGC until Jan 1st 2099.




If you accept these terms, please PM me now so I can get a general idea of people/cost.

Do Amiibos really farm customs that much more? I don't have any, and I'm struggling to find a way to farm em better. Trophy Rush is the only way I've found efficient, and it's mind numbingly boring.

Just like we'd have to accept 2 stocks, we may have to accept customs if they are legal Allan. But 1 stock = NOPE for me no matter what.

On Wii U version, just do Crazy Orders using the Fox Homerun Bat method until you get most of them. Then finish off with Trophy Rush

On 3DS version, the roulette method is still the best, unless that doesn't work anymore. Trophy Rush is still good for targeting moves for an individual character.

Amiibos are a mixed bag imo. They get a decent spread of gold, equips, moves, outfits and headgear. It is very possible to get all gold from one. But if you know you need to go away/do something for like an hour or so, just set to 99 minutes and let them fight and get stuff for you. It's basically idling for drops a la TF2 style. Hell, I only finished the Headgear collection because of Diddy and MK amiibos.

Headgear is easily the worst thing to complete. I think the ratio of outfit to headgear drops is almost 5:1.

I gotta admit, Ubisoft comes up with the most EVIL/CRAZY/INSANE bad guys in recent memory.

I've been wanting to purchase this game but hear alot of negativity of it. Is it really worth it?
I like the whole hacking shenanigans but idk.

yea, I finally started playing crazy orders, and every 20 turns i farm about 6-7 customs. I use mario max speed, homerun bat/quick batter/first strike invincibility equips. shoutouts to tesh for best method imo.

with this setup you finish 20 turns in roughly 6minutes.

It's GTA lite with hacking. It has online too. People Can invade your game at will and you can invade theirs (if you get it, let's play). The story is good so far and it's most def a MATURE game. S.e.x and b.o.o.b.s and other inappropriate material are everywhere.

Voice acting is good too. Graphics are sub HD but that doesn't matter to me. The OST is awesome.

I will preserve smash until the very last soul refuses to attend my events.

Once you drop stocks/allow customs.....etc you can never go back.

I don't think customs are as radical as dropping stocks. I will always support 3 stocks no customs, but I can see myself going to 2 stock events and maybe with customs for a tournament like Evo. There's a reason why I haven't actively went to Dallas.

You can just idle in smash tour for free drops as well.

Fox is better method. One laser shot is better to get the invincibility.

Doesn't matter which character you use unless you mess up. Mario, Dr Mario, Fox, Falco, Sheik, Olimar etc. all work as they have a quick projectile to guarantee first hit. Beyond that its just a matter of who kills master/crazy hand easiest. There is a challenge related to Mario getting 20-30 turns though I think.

All Star was waaaaaaaaaay more effective towards the end for me. Trophy rush I can't get more than 4-5 per run and All star is just more interesting anyway. It takes maybe 10 minutes and it guarantees 6+ custom parts.

Ultimately it seems like having a fully unlocked 3ds is looking to be more important.


Now that we have seen a good bit of the default stuff thats OP/jank/fun etc. I'm curious as to why people are still against customs.
