Welp, with April Fools being in full swing in a few hours, tomorrow is going to give me a headache regarding any news related to Joker

We have no proof Joker was delayed for any reason. We have no proof of anything about the girl in the P5R teaser beyond "She exists and vocally said some anti-Thieves stuff to Akechi."

If ATLUS or Nintendo actually do something bad, then we can complain about it until the cows come home. But, for now, this thread seems to have a lot of people being salty over assumptions that are just being made about P5R and Joker in Smash.

Speculation is fine, but speculating that things you don't like are happening just to complain about them is just annoying...

At this point it went from Aeon having genuine concern to assuming that Sakurai lied about liking P5 and was forced to add Joker. I mean, if they hate shameless spin-offs that much, might as well boycott 98% of the entire Mario series then.

Lord, I can't wait for this month to end...

I really like this design. She looks kinda dead inside, which is a good look to have with the type of story you are trying to tell.

Also, all of these Regie icon's are really throwing me off. I keep on losing track of who everyone is.

I think it's just Soejima being a sucker for ponytails and redheads in general.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the concept art. Icons are just the first factor I use when identifying a person on Smashboards, so to have that change is throwing me off. The fact that all the icons are of the same person makes it worse.

Are we seriously that starved that we're sitting here making **** up about how Atlus is forcing Sakurai to put Joker in Smash so he's being delayed our of necessity or spite? Come on.

Maybe it's because I've been a Persona fan for such a long time but I remember "Coming Winter 2014". If we survived that we can survive a couple weeks. Don't be ridiculous. It's a miracle this is happening at all.

Even though it's only for a day, I've already categorized everyone by their respective Reggie icons in topics that I frequent. I can still tell who is who most of the time without checking names. :secretkpop:

More on topic, here's hoping for an update regarding Joker today (or no later than April 4th or maybe even April 9th, as far relevant dates go).

I wasn't trying to bash Atlus or complain about smash. I was more expressing why I don't want people's theories about Jane to be true. Sorry if it came across like that.

Well you did start by saying that you hate what it seems jane is going to be, pretty much doing like Aeon and talking about the theories as if they're likely.
And being upset about possibilities that we dont even know are true or not.

It would be better to complain about people believing those possibilities if anything :p
But speculation is speculation, and there's nothing to worry about since it's all just talk.

We dont know what atlus has in store for us. And in the meantime talking about different possibilities is just that -> talk.
I'm sure there's some things some of us will like, and some things we wont, like anything.
Would rather see what atlus has in store for us before bashing things (hypothetically especially) ;p

I realize how it sounded. I'm trying to say I meant it as saying I really hope it's not what everyone seems to think it is. I have autism spectrum disorder and I have trouble getting my thoughts across well. I'm still holding out hope that she's Female Joker since she clearly works as a pallet swap for him. Again I'm sorry for causing negativity. But please don't compare me to Aeon.

Alright. Well everyone's got different ideas, so just try not to focus on the ones you dont like maybe? Or work through the worries.

I try to entertain any possibility, and there's some i dont like as much but anyway we'll have to work with whatever the truth ends up being. I'm sure there's lots to like. If there's some things we dont like that's ok too, and we can talk about it in ways where we dont just bash.


Really what i should say is hang in there and enjoy the persona x smash ride (as much as you can) :)

Yeah, there's no way that'll be the only addition to P5R even if it is true. Still hoping for Hifumi as a party member!

And regardless of direct timing, this time 4 weeks from now we'll be playing as ****ing Joker in smash!

You know, I was thinking about it earlier today, they can't pull a stunt with Joker today, it would be far too obvious (plus everyone is doing jokes anyway, so it'd be lost in the shuffle). The point is that we have to NEVER SEE IT COMIIIIIIIIING, so any dates we think of probably won't be it (yes, Aeon, that also includes the 24th). Directs usually come out when you least expect it, after all.

So basically, 29(?) days left to go until Joker gets in.

I'll keep up this countdown until actual details are actually known.

Nintendo would probably love to catch us surprised with the reveal.

No worries! I get why you'd be abrasive to some of the current theories, even if it came out a bit harshly.

I think we all want more fanservice-y P4G-style hangouts too. think we just need to trust ATLUS knows what they're doing and hope for the best~!

And they could also keep the alt of the character from The Royal as a secret if they don’t want to show her too early.

That's a good point. Assuming Joker and the 3.0 update is released this week, there's always the chance this Jane girl could come in a later update patch (after we get more P5R news in late April), and for now Joker could be in a similar situation to Ridley's earlier color skins where two of them were eventually replaced with Meta and Mecha Ridley.
