I don't see anything getting shadow dropped at e3. Don't know why. I feel like Joker and Brave are at the same stage of development. My guess is e3 will announce one character and everyone will be shocked and appalled that we didn't get multiple. Then another mini smash direct will show the last 2.
That's also very possible. This last direct did suggest that Nintendo is wanting to prove itself by not relying too much on Smash to build up the hype, so I could see them downplaying E3. That said, if we're getting a western third-party character, I could see them revealing it at the conference of whatever company the character is from.
Also, regardless of your opinions on
Catherine: Full Body, I think we can all agree it unperformed hard in its first week in Japan (61,065 copies sold in the first week, when the original sold 163,762 copies in its first week). This is notably worse then
Persona Q2, which sold 79,747 copies in spite of being a 3DS game in 2018 that was primarily advertised via magazine. It is also worse then
Etrian Odyssey Nexus, which sold 71,946 copies on release in spite of the entire series not having reached 2 million sales worldwide. It did do better then the dancing games though, so that's... something.
ATLUS, uh, definitely isn't doing a great job at keeping their sales up after the boost Persona 5's success should have given them.
