Interestingly enough, I never personally played Xenoblade myself (wasn't a big fan of Xenogears or Xenosaga). I won't go looking for a used copy unless it's from a Mom & Pop store simply because I am aware that it is a swindling scandal instigated by Gamestop (to put it bluntly, chances are, your used copies were really brand new with the wrapping removed and passed off as used copies). They are not allowed to raise the retail prices of new merchandise. However, they are aloud to dictate the starting price of any used games they want. As such, once I find a brand new copy of the game (or a cheaper used copy), then I'll buy the game and play it.

With that said, does anybody know anything about this rumor going around where apparently, a few people who played Smash Run wound up winning trophies of a Mechon. Can anybody verify or confirm the validity of said rumors?

Funny story about that, since I had never heard of Fire Emblem or Marth before, when I first played Brawl and fought him (took a few tried to actually beat him) I got all hyped up about the muscular bad*** female sword user. I then spent the next two years thinking that Marth was a girl. I feel like Fire Emblem: Awakening was created solely to mock me.

Ordered all three, loved them all.

If we're going to start using dreams as evidence for a character's inclusion, then based on my dream, Freddie Mercury will be playable.

Seriously though that dream was awesome and it made me incredibly sad 'cause freakin' Goku is more likely than Freddie.

The strange part is, I'm a heavy lucid dreamer. I usually have complete control over my dreams. (It's awesome. Sleeping is so much fun. XD) I didn't have any control over these dreams with Shulk though! Lol.

I have heard the same rumors from friends who have gone to play, but I sadly have not seen confirmation

I actually expect there to be trophies of at least a couple mechon (M64, M71, and Mwhatevertheflyingonesare) so I'm not surprised that it happened. I'd just love some evidence...

Yeah, i'm not sure why, I think it's possible for both to be in, but I have no idea why they seem like they're fighting for the same spot.

I also never got that.... my friends and I never thought of Marth as anything other then a dude, and we thought his gender was completely obvious. He is definitely a pretty boy and he might not be particularly masculine by Western standards, but if you've watched even a small amount of anime in your life or played a few JRPGs you shouldn't have been confused.

Agreed, although I am even more annoyed by people saying that they would just be "more boring swordsmen." I guess a character with a laser sword capable of telling the future and a battle mage capable of summoning giant creatures are basically the same as Marth.

My story for obtaining Xenoblade is a lot more straight forward then most I've seen on here. I liked what I saw from the game back when it was first shown off as Monado: Beginning of the World. When the game came out in Europe and American localization was unknown I imported the game in order to boost European sales to show NoA the game was desirable. When the game came out here, I bought it again to show my support. Funnily enough, I didn't actually get around to playing it until about two years ago, though.

Well, as someone whose top two most wanted Smash newcomers are Shulk and "Anyone-From-Fire-Emblem-That-Isn't-Chrom," I have pretty mixed feelings towards the leak. If it does turn out to be true, I'd be more happy than mad, 'cause I could deal with Chrom if it meant Shulk was in. But an ideal scenario for me would be false leak, Shulk's in anyways, and someone who isn't Chrom is also in.

Of course, even if it does turn out to be true I'd rather have not had the info leaked. I like to be surprised...

I think that most people feel that he is the most redeemable thing about the Gematsu leak. In fact, his want on RTC is higher than the leak itself, Chrom, and Chorus Men. It also helps that more people are getting exposed to Shulk and Xenoblade thanks to the leak and Chuggaaconroy's LP.

I assumed that Marth was a dude.

The people who do compare them say they are similar due to being blond-haired swordsman in JRPGs. Even then, they are two completely different characters with completely different moveset potential (Shulk with the Monado and Arts and Isaac with his psynergy).
The comparisons between the two makes me sad... really sad.

Shulk is the only remaining Gematsu character that I care about. I'm indifferent towards Chrom and Chorus Men, so I'm at least thrilled to have Shulk.

I personally like Gematsu just because of Shulk, I don't really care about Fire emblem and the chorus men sounds like a cool idea. And since most of the characters I want are really really unlikely i'm not that dissapointed with the leak.
