I'm curious how many people here are watching Aldnoah.Zero? So far, its looking very good, and its another anime with music by Hiroyuki Sawano. It has the same feel of Xenoblade, and probably has the most 'I don't give a ****' MC.

Easily my most wanted newcomer. Krabbleblade Chronicles was, quite simply, a work of art. Just a shame it ended with with Shulk and Reyn beating it to death.

I wonder if the Krabble meat taste good?

I'm hoping we get lots of alts based on canon armour sets, Just imagine him with a basically naked alt. IT would explain why the Australian Government rated the game M for 'minor nudity'

Nah, the red vest is incredibly distinctive as a look! And I actually like the way the overall fasce looks better on actual Shulk.

Also, I'm actually thinking at least a couple of the armors are going to be available as alts. It just seems like something logical to do.

In regards to Shulk's appearance, I find his default red look to be a very distinctive and cool design (although something I noticed while playing the game is that Shulk's official art gives a reddish hue to the black and blue parts of his outfit, making his design look a lot less vibrant than it is in the game itself). Though I am hoping that we get a few palette swaps/alternate costumes based on the various types of armor that he can potentially equip. One nice thing about Shulk is that he basically has his blue and green colors already made in Xenoblade itself; as a result, the alternate colors would look much more natural on Shulk and hold actual meaning to those who played through Xenoblade Chronicles.

The 24th to the 27th.
Just don't get your hopes up. Special announcement could mean anything. We don't know what the future holds, but that means we can imagine the possibilities.
I'm really just expecting something like the return of Scarf Samus or Sakurai appearing. A newcomer would be awesome though.

We do! It's on the Smash Bros facebook page, though I don't specifically have the source for it. It's a thing, though tbh I'm trying not to expect anything in case it's nothing, which it probably is.

If I remember right, whichever article/magazine stated there'd be a tournament also mentioned the possibility of a special announcement. Or a special anything, I could be getting the exact wording wrong.
I can see a veteran confirmed, but a newcomer would be very wishful thinking. <--my wishful thinking

Special announcement can mean anything. But honestly people, Sakurai isn't going to announce a new character only a week after announcing another one. Best to expect the next character reveal in the August Direct (hopefully) before August 12th.

So that makes like, what, nine different costumes for Shulk? That's Normal, No Armor, Makna, M100, Quark, Eryth, Grand, Warrior, and Orion. Besides the alt. colors.
This is pretty cool.

I don't think Sakuri would have alts of characters from another franchise entirely. Besides, his companions have other places to be; Assist Trophies, PArt of a theoretical Final Smash that involves them, etc.
