I have a question for all of you. Assuming shulk gets into smash, do you think other characters in smash should get an alt costume based of the other Xenoblade characters? ( ex. marth getting an alt. based of dunban)

I think that'd be awesome if they wouldn't have another option from their own series. But I don't see it happening.

I like Shulk far more in the final product since he looks more distinct and more cartoony.

It wouldn't make sense in my opinion and none of the characters in Xenoblade look distinctively similar to other characters on the roster.

So that makes like, what, nine different costumes for Shulk? That's Normal, No Armor, Makna, M100, Quark, Eryth, Grand, Warrior, and Orion. Besides the alt. colors.
This is pretty cool.

They could have an entire costume pack dlc dedicated to just Shulk.

... Admit it everyone, there's not a single person in this thread who wouldn't buy it just to play as shirtless Shulk.

maybe I should have been more specific and said having other characters wearing the attire of the other xenoblade characters. not flat out making the xenoblade characters alts.

I just googled "Nintendo Direct July 22 2014" and I couldn't find a single thing on it. I'm calling fake for now.

Actually what I did in Colony 9 though.

"Progress though the story? Pfffffffft. I have bunnits to kill and quests to clear!"

(It might be important to note that I'm only at Satorl Marsh. Having not looked up any spoilers, I have no idea how far into the story this is supposed to be. I'm assuming not very far though.)

Yeah, heaps to go. At a rough guess, maybe 1/3 through the plot? Almost? It's fairly long, and you'll still have all the extra exploration and quests.

You never know. Shulk might be doin' a lot of heavy lifting--especially if his work deals with Mechon and machines. It also makes sense because he needs to defend himself, so he'd choose to work out some. That and I was always under the impression that he was at least partially taught by Dunban.

I've been trying to think of what else we could have for every other day of the week, but nothing's got a ring to it like #MonadoMonday. I did see a #TrueMonadoTuesday around. Maybe you could have #ShulkSaturday/Sunday if you don't mind mixing the "Sh" with "S" sounds. Good luck finding anything for W though. Best I could come up with was #WhatABunchOfJokersWednesday.

In my defense, I had no idea about the Fire Emblem anniversary.
However, I have to say that I don't regret a bit of it. The hype train was some of the most fun I've gotten out of a forum in years, and it still feels like the train's still chugging along (even if it's not quite at full speed like it was last weekend), plus it was searching #MonadoMonday which lead me to this thread in the first place. I wouldn't change last weekend for the world.

But Ridley hasn't been deconfirmed yet...I kid...

So I checked and Shulk's VA Adam Howden has worked on very little games outside of Xenoblade and Dragon Age, just Star Wars the Old Republic and Fable 3. And we already know he's in the new Dragon Age game, he mentioned in the tweet it was several games coming this year and it was after his tweet confirming he's in Dragon Age Inquisition so it's not that and it's not Xenoblade X since Shulk isn't in the game...someone find that Ron Paul it's happening gif and edit Shulk in there. I'll need it if (when) the time comes.

Also the Monado Monday hype was so much fun, and sure Shulk didn't get announced, but like I said before people, myself included, relied too much on the leak, he's still got a good chance so I wasn't that salty. Plus Robin, Lucina AND Captain Falcon were all revealed in the same trailer. How could I not be hyped. As for Chrom fans, yeah they did get a cruel reality check, but honestly unlike Shulk and a Rhythm Heaven rep there was no evidence Chrom would be playable minus the leak and main character syndrome.

Speed-Sonic and C. Falcon
Purge-Mega Man and ROB (Any other robotic character)
Eater-Kirby
Armour-All characters who wear armour
Cyclone-...Can't think of one here, just fight 500 battles to unlock him.
