I actually got accepted to Harvard, but I decided not to go because Xzax wasn't gonna' be there.

No idea about Harvard, but Cornell and Princeton have active scenes with pretty good players. Did you apply to other Ivies?

I currently attend Harvard as a freshman. First of all, congrats Hungrybox! I look forward to seeing you here next year :)
If I may ask, how did you know that you got in so early? Did you get a likely letter or something?

Anyways, regarding the smash scene: I don't think that there's a big one. At least, I haven't found many smashers who know ATs, but then again I haven't really looked that hard. So maybe there's some really big scene that's just low profile and has escaped my notice...Anyways there definitely are a few though who can play pretty well imo...who can wavedash, shffl, etc.

To be honest, I'm not particularly good at melee...I never played anyone who even really knew what ATs were until college. But anyways, just wanted to let you know!

oh and prefrosh visiting days will be coming up soonish...let me know if you decide to come! I've never met in person a really good smasher like you, so it'd be neat.

Thumbs and korn and boss all live in the dc metro area, as well as all the College Park guys. You could probably go to a bunch of smash fests in the area and local melee tourneys.

I think that Harvard letters go out tomorrow, around 5? That's what I heard anyways.

But likely letters went out earlier. Thing is, Harvard only sends out like 300 likely letters, and 200 of them are for athletes..so if Hungrybox is a recruit or got one of the 100 non-recruit letters, he could already know...
