Has anyone thought of using the trophy stage as a hack and use it as a neutral stage in tournaments? The stage has a fairly spaced platform on each side. The only thing that needs to be changed is the three red rings in the middle considering that it has an invisible top on it. If anyone has done so, would it be possible to add it into the general rule set?

Edit: March 13, 2012: Hack for the Underground Maze from adventure mode possibility. I can't find the Mushroom Kingdom Stage (stage one) when you face the team of yoshis. Credit goes to "kyaputenfarukon07" for the Underground maze and the Mushroom Kingdom idea.

Id love this. I believe that the edges of the stage aren't ledges (You can't grab them) I may be wrong about that. But if I am correct this stage wont work =/

Smash sans ledges sounds like an awesome game to me. None of that stupid "I'm going to regrab the ledge until my opponent, who is in the lead, runs to the edge and gets punished for it."

If there was a way how to allow the edges have ledges, that would be great. Keep the ideas coming guys.

90% sure it has ledges. They are just slanted like YS.

lol @ using this in tournaments though. No one wants to play on a hacked stage that only 5% of people are able to practice on.

If we're gunna use hacked stages we could make stages couldn't we? And this will never happen since most people won't be able to practice on it and it won't always be an option when your actually at the tourney. It would be cool in friendlies, I've seen people playing on mario's BTT stage.

You can't grab ledges on trophy get, and if anyone's wondering there is a code so that you can play trophy get without the trophies falling down and the game crashing.

How about some adventure mode stages like the yoshi one and the link one
Because you can't die. Unless your talking about when it cuts off and makes you face the yoshi/link. In which case. I'm looking for a picture, can't find one but I think the yoshi one is just a reskin of yoshi's story and the link one is just a reskin of battle field. Could be wrong though.

Yea, that is a good point. :) I forgot those stages as well. Both Links and Yoshi's stage on Adventure mode has ledges and they both have leveled platforms. Keep it up guys.

The Yoshi team stage in the first part of Adventure Mode is definitely not a reskin of YS. It's got slanted platforms. I'm pretty sure we have enough Yoshi stages as it is. lol Let's refer to it as Toad's stage, since it's got Toad in the background and a mushroom logo on the top, not an egg. It actually seems like it'd be a really well-balanced neutral.

Toad's Stage

The base of Link's stage may be a BF reskin because they look about the same size, but it looks like the ledges have actual height to them (making them easier to wall jump off of, perhaps). They have varying platforms depending on which area you enter. Personally, the kind at 5:35 in that video looks like it'd be the most interesting. It's basically Toad's stage, but with the platforms slanted the other way.

If enough people had hacked setups to enable practicing on such stages, then we would just be making custom stages anyway.

I remembered it differently, of course memory is not very reliable at times. Thing about the Link stage is that those platforms are always different, and always ****ing weird. I do however like the 'Toad's Stage'.
Damn developers, making perfectly good stages we can't play on.

I would pay good money to have someone hack bumpers into Melee... I think the epicness would just make the console implode like a dying star.

well, if we're gonna do it, it should only be fair they hack Master hand's residence in 64 the same way.

also, if we hacked Adventure mode's battlefeild, would it feel like Brawl?(it seems just as floaty there...)

I'm pretty sure Adventure mode's battlefield is a result of a glitch due to icicle mountain being before it. I couldn't imagine that being intentional.

lol wut? I never thought about the reduced gravity being a glitch. I always assumed it was intentional, and it'd be cool if someone could hack the gravity onto all stages.

I would love to be able to play on this stage.
