Directly above you tipping a dair.
naw you're just clearly ignorant of the ike that takes an f-air and then leaves his unstunned, clearly able to move character open for a down air
I can see where you are coming from but just because a tactic works against a player of a lower skill doesnt mean it will never work agains a player of a higher skill. Sometime this is true, other times not.

Depending on the character, you do not want to let them just run away. If you and your opponent are fighting near an edge, you do not want to just let the Falco, D3, Wolf, Fox, Toon Link, Olimar, R.O.B., just run away. That spacing is not favorable to you. If you were already in the center of a stage no larger than FD, and your opponent retreats, I wouldn't really call that running away, but you should still maintain good spacing and pressure. Obviously you shouldn't be recklessly aggressive, but in close range combat, use your range, and defensive tools to continue applying pressure, even on retreating opponents.
Well of course it depends on the character, sorry i didn't specify. The characters you said would just projectile spam. and Ryan I didn't mean "run around grabbing" literally, if you are running and someone CHOOSES to follow you then it is a good idea to pivot grab, but if someone is far away you should not do that. And DB is safe on block. If you miss the first hit you MIGHT eat a jab, but if it is anything that takes longer than that to come out, you can shield and then punish. And if you hit max range with DB the opponent can just DI away and then run away and if they have a projectile they can fire away. And how can you say DB is only safe if it hits the opponent off the ledge? DB is safe pretty much everywhere other than just whiffing it the opposite way of the opponent, but that isn't going to happen, is it? Back up your points.

neo.... I'm going to jump in the fire and disagree with you here.

Some of Kizzu's stuff is actually useful... like short hot DB f-air on taller guys.

Not sure if it was said already, but I prefer Dtilt after grab breaks. It's not as quick as the others, but has IASA frames. This lets you respond easily to their action after breaking.

Even though this isn't a terrible bump... but yea this is old =x
But yes, DTilt is amazign, as it also leads into a DB, so that Grab Damage + DTilt Damage + DB Damage = sex.

After a standard grab release, you are directly in front of your opponent so the dtilt is really unsafe on block.

Grab them again because they wont be expecting it, then either grab them a third time if you wna pull some crazy mindgames (or if theyre just stupid) or DB if they spot dodge

This is what i do, and although it only works once or twice in a set, it helps refresh your moves, do some decent damage and looks awesome.

i dont even remember writing this thread

this was also before my first tourney

its a trick that is extremely player specific but you have a similar pseudo tech chase by just throwing them and you the marth is safer

however with the ledges you can go for it but then youre telling them to di away after the regrab and sometimes near the edge u can get a f throw charge smash ko because they want to get back to the stage and most ppl hate being in marths ledge trap so negatively conditioned their di and u may have taken away an easy kill

in general if the opponent hasnt seen it before good players will shield first while bad players will spot dodge. grab beats both through timing. but thats a really rough estimate

honestly if thr opponent is a high tiered character their best option is to di away and jump away and not fall for it over and over *cough* mikehaze vs havok
