yeah he did main falco... you know him? As for tech, he was certainly wavedashing all over the effing place destroyed everyone there in melee but that really doesnt say much because we were all scrubs at it.

dont buy ds games, get a cyclo ds like me :D its like 50 bucks or so but now i get any game i want for free... its amazing. i can even make it run homebrew programs like emulators. i have a 1gb microsd in it right now full of at least 40+ games

have one of them drive u, pay $5 towards gas, then enter only doubles and crew battle. that would be $7 for tourney, $5 for gas for only $12. if u want singles its an extra $10. but doubles + crew battle and friendlies all day = worth it lol

Warning: im about to ramble on about brawl+, feel free to not read this if you so desire.

i feel as tho brawl+ should be aiming towards a better brawl and not a recreation of melee. I agree with dobs in that if your going to play brawl+ just play melee... its tournament seen is and will always be much more recognized with larger turnouts. I would be all about brawl+ if they took it in the direction of a better brawl just as the name implies, i feel all the game really needs is some l canceling for lag reduction, a tiny bit of hit stun... leave out the wavedashing and buff / nerf what needs it. I suppose this is exactly what brawl+ already is minus the fact that the l canceling is based off of melee's air dodge and allows wavedashing. i know my dream of what brawl+ could be will never surface tho because anyone looking towards a "better" brawl is more than likely a melee fanatic and will go for the brawl+ that is todays. Everyone else would more than likely be someone new to the smash scene and see nothing wrong with the game, therefore never desiring a "better" version of brawl and not a recreation of melee because its the smash they started with and wouldnt picture playing it any other way...

We all know Brawl isn't competitive and was never meant to be...the main metagame revolves around camping, CGs and other tactics people look down upon. Brawl as it is rewards playing defensively and being too aggressive leads to getting shield grabbed, air dodged and punished, whatever. Brawl+ fixes all this by speeding up the pace and opening up the door for more combos and overall being more aggressive like how a fighting game should be. IN NO WAY is it trying to recreate Melee, it's altering the engine to make a smash game how it should've been in the first place. No more random tripping, no more CGs, and much better character balance. Anyone who continues ranting about how it's Melee 2.0 is f**king dumb.

well ****... you make it sound exactly like what i wanted it to be. i retract my statement and bow before you, and thanks for calling me dumb but thats totally what i thought brawl+ was but that is prob due to the fact that i havent checked up on it in a long time.

maybe i will get into brawl+... and that means i can play falcon which is always a win
(i wasnt trying to bash your statement about brawl+ i was just throwing out my opinion on it while we were on the subject of it)

edit: does it still use melee's air dodge system?
also, if i do decide to get into brawl+ is there an official thread that releases its updates so i can make sure im staying up to date with it with the official code updates that everyone will be using and not just obtaining an altered version someone thought would be better.

Nah it still has vanilla Brawl's multiple air dodges. But with the added hitstun you can't air dodge as soon as you get sent flying away, it takes a second or two. Melee's air dodges made it unique and completely changed how the game was played...if they put those in Brawl+ it WOULD become Melee 2.0...almost. And the official thread is here
