I have a program for it, but I haven't tested it. It should work, though.

Anything anyone wants to record, I can. But it can't be recorded on the wide screen in my living room, which means exciting matches would have to be crowded in my small room.

I'll record anything hyped or exciting, but I probably won't waste time editing random matches.

Does your DVD recorder accept component output? My Wii displays in 480p on my main television, but my game bridge only accepts standard RCA cables. If we wanted to record using my game bridge, we'd have to do it on a much smaller television. But, if your DVD recorder accepts component, then we could record on the main television and it wouldn't be too crowded if people wanted to watch.

It would also be convenient to have two setups for recording matches. Thanks poot!

Yes, it does have component output. Teach me the ways of the Wii mod when we get there. I really haven't touched my Wii in a year. Gotta get some kind of use out of it.

Homebrew is pretty awesome. I can install it for you here, but there is a small amount of risk involved in it. So far, no cases have been reported of the installation of the homebrew channel bricking a wii, but it is possible.

Also, bring an SD card if you have one. You can't run any homebrew programs without one.

I might be interested in the homebrew nonsense. Don't really care about risks since I don't use my Wii for anything.

If you're interested, Chris, bring an SD card. I can install the channel and explain some basics to you. There are some neat programs. Ocarina works as an AR that boots the game for you. There's also a very good NES and SNES emulator. The Wii can't hold more than 10 VC games, I believe, but an SNES rom is about 3 mb. On my 2GB SD card, I could hold 1400 SNES games. NES games are even smaller. On a 2GB card, I could hold around 9000 games. An emulator can run these games (at higher quality, because of options like Gameshark codes and save states) from your SD card, which makes the virtual console sort of worthless.

Wow, this could be fun. I could get several SSB setups from this. Like I said, bring an SD card, I have everything setup, as well as a few games on my computer (Zelda OOT Master Quest, SSB64 and Defend Your Castle) that I can install. I'll download some more N64 games before Saturday, but I would strongly recommend against installing any non-N64 games, as they can be easily emulated and easily stored on an SD card.

Also, remember that your SD card must be SD (not SDHC), and 2GB or less. Otherwise, the Wii can't read it.

Kal I am sad to say, but I may only be bringing one person because the earliest I can leave is 12 due to that person getting off of work at that time, and others with interest want in for singles. I myself am also highly interested in singles, but if nothing can be done then I suppose I'll just deal.

Actually it can be SDHC, it will just only read the first 3 gigs.

Turns out I will not be bringing either XZalla, Jeremy, or my personal friend. Instead there will be me and a surprise visit by one of the top players in Houston.

Kal, whereas we might have requested that you hold off the time for registration it seems we will be able to make it on time due to not having to wait on XZalla to leave work. But if we aren't there by registration ends the most people would have to wait is half an hour. Things happen you know.

Time to sleep. See you guys there!

Kal, thanks for the tournament and the homebrew. I'm going to explore homebrew as soon as I get done sleeping for 3 days straight. Oh, and can you post the round robin...table...thing?

Great seeing all you crazy melee kiddos again. Let's do it again soon.

KAL PUT GUNSTAR HEROES ON YOUR WII RIGHT NOW. It's so awesome.

I love homebrew. But I can't get the Genesis emulator to work. I select the game, then I go to play game, and then the Wii just like stops sending a signal to my TV or something.

Hylian did you go 2 and 1 with Xelic? I beat him 2 to 1 and Rayz went 1-2 with him. I thought you got 3-0'd.

Use Wiibrew.org for when you're unable to figure something out. I'm happy to help, but am not always 100% available. If the question is serious enough, register at gbatempt.net and ask there.

I think your problem is controller support. I've tried the Aladdin rom, and it works fine. So, be sure it knows what sort of controller you are using in the options menu.
