I'm definitely better offline but it prolly doesn't make as much of a diff as it does for tank/ballin

for a few months there I wasn't really playing online at all, just console with my BUDS

It wasn't supposed to be like a close match or a clash of the titans or anything. Michigan doesn't have a 64 scene, so they thought gio was really good; I didn't believe that someone who didn't play online/on console with other real players could be good, so we were gonna MM; he didn't show up and then started being a real ****hole on the boards ("trolling" supposedly) so we basically started hating each other a lot. We hyped it up because we'd both talked so much that the loser would have to eat a lot of crow. Of course, then Gio backed out because he'd been "trolling" the whole time or whatever (i.e. he realized that he couldn't actually afford to lose $50)

Like I've said, whenever we meet I'll MM you for however much. You're just gonna keep avoiding tournaments that I show up to, though, so I'm not gonna go through the whole hype-video hype-thread trashtalkaganza again.

The money's there (and it was even before carroll offered to pay if you really thought you were gonna win). If you only attend brawl tournaments, I don't see why I ever thought that beating you in 64 was going to be any sort of accomplishment.
