Someone plays Mass Effect.
Ding ding.
Although, apparently the term and creature originally come from the Dune series. But I first heard it in Mass Effect, yes.

sorry spire, but that is too funny to not laughMan, the ocean is messed up. I would die of fright if I was in the water and saw that.
Back when I was in 4th grade, I was on some island off of Corpus Christi. It was blue crab mating season, but with the crystal clear water, I was able to watch out for them (besides, they're scared enough to scurry away upon hearing my tremors). So, I'm prancing around in the water, having a jolly ol' time when ONE crab escapes my sight by burrowing under the sand, and lo and behold I step on the little bugger. Its shell-spike goes all the way to my bone, right at that arch on the bottom of your foot (unless you're flat-footed), hitting the biggest nerve in the whole shebang. That, the gushing blood (I'm a hemophobic), the rich salt water, and the fact that I was stranded on an island for another two hours until the ferry could come sent be into shock.
It sucked. So, I don't even know what the hell I would do if I crossed paths with that worm. I stay away from going in the ocean without wading boots now (I also came across a patch of stingrays, which thankfully didn't get me - but I did step on one).
They can't be that hard to tameAlaskan Bull Worm.
Already discovered. :/
