should just tell them you're insane and get it done with...Lounis, that's called a catch-22
If you think i'm saying i'm bad, i'm not(Or at least THAT bad). But i am not ready. I showed at CB and played some doubles with ScAtt, met some new people, now i have to wait my turn.Well... see, that's the problem. You improve the best and the fastest from going to tournaments. Not only does it provide invaluable offline experience (which is where all the glory, fun, and money are), but it also prepares you for the pressure of tournament play.
See, what you're doing can be compared via this handy analogy!
Lucas Perfected: *Practicing driving by reading the driver's manual a lot*
Somebody licensed to do this: "Hey, Lucas Perfected, want to learn how to drive? I'll show you how all the basics that you've already covered and even take you on the highway! We'll drive over to (burger joint) and you'll meet some cool people who can help you out and get you to be a driving pro in no time."
Lucas Perfected: "No thanks, man. I'm going to wait until I've read the manual until the staples fall out with no actual driving experience. That'll get me prepared for the road!"
It's good enough i would attend, i wouldn't waste my time predicting where i'm going to place, who i'm going to beat, and who i'm going to lose to. It just makes me feel bad that i rep my place in such a bad fashion. I'm arguably the worst here, imo.The thing is Lucas, you can never know where you stand until you actually enter the tourney.
It's sort like a paradox, you don't want to enter a tourney until you feel ready but you won't feel ready until you enter a tourney.
If anything, come to play offline and meet the community. By playing with us and having a good time it becomes a regular, and you will come to ask yourself "man why didn't I do this sooner?"
It seems that the most important thing to you is winning, which isn't a big deal... especially if you don't already have a history of winning tournaments. The brawl scene has been around for a while and i don't think we've had any unknown players come out o the woodwork and win tournaments since like late 2008 or something. You have to understand that it's about the learning and the fun. It's not about your reputation as a player, dude. It's about being a part of the community. We're all friends here and the more smashers, the merrier.
I'll stay here and social but i'm away from the ArenA for a while.i love you guys
lucas perfected, come to waba this saturday and we can chill and play gamecube bro
That's nice, but i'm good enough on the forums where i should be. I'll join another tourney (lol i went to one with like, 4 players) when i'm at a good enough skill level to be considered decent, at least. I'm not going anywhere with a crummy game style and overestimated mindset, at the current time. You're getting the completely wrong idea.
i'll quote myself again
plus you get to learn and play the best people in georgia and a few other states at waba.
you've been watching fight club, haven't you?you have to lose before you can win.
if I hadn't met a few select players in the smash community, my life would be A LOT different now, and for the worse. I've learned so much from you guys and everyone has made an impact on my life somehow. i would be like a super newb at life if I didnt meet you guys, and now im only like a half newb.Your thinking it wrong. Your going to make social connections that could/would help you later in life.
I'm not sure right now...lucas perfected, you can read english right?
I'm not saying i want to be the world's greatest, but if i'm going to do any advancing from the worst here, i've got serious work to do. I'm taking back my online play so i can make something of myself there, and when i feel mentally and physically prepared for a real tournament, i'll go. Again, i'm just not ready to get offline yet, just not right now.lol dude, i'm entering brawl teams with dynomite (who is a ranked player in GA) this weekend.
i don't even play brawl. The last time i entered a brawl tournament seriously was in early 2008, a two or three months after the game came out.
Why is he agreeing to team with me? why are we teaming in the first place?
because it's fun and dyno is my friend.
you care too much about winning and doing well. you have to lose before you can win.

i dun want to spend moneyit did indeed.
stongers are you coming this weeker
Smash is srs bizness.wow this guy takes smash bros way too seriously
Actually Ally only played online for a long while when the game came and then he went to an offline tournament and won everything for a long time. But yeah, doubt it'll happen now, lol.I guarantee you, NOBODY has won the first offline tournament they've gone to.
I don't want to go because i am not ready yet. If you don't know what i mean by that, i don't know what more to say. No it doesn't just mean i'm bad at this game, i could be having life issues, educational expectations not met, anything of the sort, i'm just not ready. If you don't want to come that's fine.
lolololololololImpossible, I have never been wrong in my life
1) What in the world does being a high schooler have to do with being a troll/idiot?From Wiki said:Among other things, Catch-22 is a general critique of bureaucratic operation and reasoning. Resulting from its specific use in the book, the phrase "Catch-22" is common idiomatic usage meaning "a no-win situation" or "a double bind" of any type.
Seriously though, if you're going to keep up that attitude you need to change your name. Can't have you sullying the reputation of the coolest character in brawl.
