This isnt quite true. We have actually put up a majority of our tourneys this past year on allisbrawl. We have also invited a lot of wifi players that believe our community and state is trash even though they have yet to come and prove it irl. Everytime we create a tourney page for waba we may get 1 or 2 wifi players to say they r attending but the thing is they never show up. I see no reason to continue doing so or to continue making this effort if no one even bothers to come. I remember a few months back me and dyno went looking for all the GA players on allisbrawl and most said they just werent interested in playing IRL. I also think its funny that the person that posted that blog was someone i talked to and played so that i could try to get him to come out. The answer he gave me at the time is "im to young to go to irl tourneys." I also added him on my friends list and asked him to contact me if his chance comes to go to one. I guess he decided to post a blog and forget about it.lol look all we can take from that blog is that, the AiB community has a few brawlers that our community seems to not be reaching out to. And it's making the GA scene be split straight down the middle. Wifi vs Offlines. I'm aware a lot of smash scenes have this but we don't have the largest smash scene to have such a large division.
I'm no the biggest tourney attender, but I know that GA can get hyped if we get a bigger crowd.

I used to be the same way. Except i hated AiB and never really put forth much effort on attending. :/
Ever since yesterday, i haven't been on wifi often, and i was looking to quit online if i can find some way to keep my attendance consistent. Undecided on much to do after that, but i don't do the ladders as much anymore, i got more defects than benefits on there.
I told him that I attended my first tournament when i was 14 but he didnt respond to that. He also told me that he doesnt think he will place well with ike because he is a low tier.I remember a few months back me and dyno went looking for all the GA players on allisbrawl and most said they just werent interested in playing IRL. QFTThat's the typical response after going to your first offline.

On the 21st. This Saturday. When is the next tourney
I kind of understand what your saying about how others view the state your in, NC is looked down upon too and not just from the outside. Then again most of NC usually attend the offline tournaments and rarely play on ladders.I understand what you mean.
I'm in a skype call now, w/ people from MI,MD/VA,PA,CAN, etc. They don't seem to care much about the GA scene or respect it. That's sorta how it is on AiB too. People only consider the brawlers that can stop Top EC brawlers.
rofllllllllllllllllllllllllll
you may be on to soemthing, i have already begun inviting ppl to waba ** mainly kids from my campus that play often** and we should all try to bring one new person everytime " get a friend and if he likes it he will tell his friends... etc"We don't need to have ppl enter to get them hooked! Come on guys, think of it as crack. You give the free sample "hey fellow brawl player, good ppl come here and play this game. You should check it out sometime. You don't have to enter, but meeting and playing these ppl will help you get better yada yada yada." They come have a good time and may enter the next time. We have a nice venue, cool ppl, and a cool atmosphere. Just getting them to show up is a win, because they tell ppl and eventually they may enter. Mcpeepants was someone that came through AIB, so it's not a lost cause, we just have to keep on keeping on.
