Honestly, I would love to have the bombs as the final smash. If the original intent was for it to be humerus because it was out of character, then there is no problem with it, because it's still is out of character. Also, Princesses just chucking a ton of explosives on people is just funny by itself.

You know, honestly, in terms of songs that'd be fun that aren't the boss battles, I think it'd be nice to remix the Here's Some Weapons song, as well as the Hello, Happy Kingdom! theme.

Problem is, most of the music in that game is catchy, memorable, and just exceptionally well done, so any of the soundtrack really works well.

Honestly, even if we don't get a stage, I'd love a lot of the music; doesn't even have to be remixes. The SMRPG music is so good that a lot of it can work on it's own.

I remember when that Nintendo employee drew Geno, I follow him on Tumblr. He also drew Peach that week I think, so I didn't think anything much of it. 1 employee liking Geno doesn't mean much.

But now that you guys bring up the timing.. Maybe Geno was the talk of the office because they secured some sort of deal? Exciting times!

Oh man, I'm having a real hard time trying to figure out who actually supported Geno in the old days. The beginning of the thread, at least, is filled with so much back and forth between people disagreeing

true, but he is quite small plus as seen by comparing the old image and the new one characters get shifted to fit new ones.

The latest Direct proved that analyzing the artwork is pointless. They just moved some characters around to make room for the new ones. They'll do the same for other newcomers, so don't waste time looking at the gaps.


Well, a lot of characters weren't leaked in that time, so I don't think that's fair to say. Simon was leaked, but Richter and all the other Castlevania content weren't. King K. Rool, Chrom, and Dark Samus weren't leaked, either. The only leaked character from a credible source right now is Isabelle.

The only major true leak besides Simon so far was evidently someone just seeing the Direct video early and recounting the highlights, rather than leaking something based on internal information from the developers. There's still a lot of unknowns, so more major surprises are in store.

I know i know and i said that it is nothing concrete but its still possible others will be moved to fit him in there. it was just something i wanted to share, i ain't that bad.

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster. SMRPG is my all time favorite game, I've been rooting for Geno since Brawl, sneaking into my high school library's internet using a proxy browser to see any news on Geno from the Brawl blog or Gamefaqs, voted for Geno in the Smash Ballot, and now, seeing as his chances are as good as they'll ever be now, registered here to voice my support! If Geno gets in I plan on getting a SMRPG tattoo to celebrate, something I've never gotten before but always flirted with the idea if SMRPG ever made a return in some way.

It's amazing what a little hope can do after King K. Rool's reveal not only destroyed the relevance argument, but cemented the fact that this game in particular seems to be aiming towards fan-service. I like our odds now a lot more now than I did a week ago.

That "one game" is a cult classic that sold millions and is still being talked about decades after its release. Geno has been a very popular pick for all these years as well. Those people just argue for the sake of arguing.

The hate is legit why I stopped lurking around before the Smash 4 DLC became a thing. Hell, there's some people I know irl in our local smash scene who tell me that Geno is stupid and he's a waste of a slot compared to Rex & Pyra among others. Did we come across as elitists or something during the Brawl speculation days? I legit have no clue. Just felt like until recently I couldn't even see Geno support outside of here without someone either bashing it or demanding an explanation as to why.

yeah, its insane just how crazy the last two directs were and how our state of mind shifted towards new character possibillites. I sorta make it my civil duty now to re-look at all the character choices that I absolutely hated or ignored and put myself in the supporter's shoes and tell myself "I would want this character because..." just so I can sorta understand where they're coming from.

I hope Skull Kid is real, but not Isabelle. Replace her with Geno and I would never ask Sakurai for anything again. I wouldn't even care if they just ported this game over and over.

I'm not sure the specials would match that great. And a lot of Mega Man's attacks use the abilities of Robot masters

For specials, the character that is probably the closest is ROB. He's got a disc like Geno whirl and a powerful beam like Geno beam. But he couldn't be a clone of ROB because the skeleton wouldn't match at all.

Yeah it has, but I see zero chance of it happening, and it's very obvious why.
