Well, with the way today is going it's seemingly like tomorrow is a shadowdrop of some kind or an announcement of an announcement. I'm leaning more towards the second because people hearing about shadowdrops for single announcements weeks out is very rare. Pretty sure Pikmin 3 Deluxe is the only notable exception this year and everything else wound up being a Partner or Mini.

Why would there be a rumor about something that was already known to happen by Bethesda not so long ago for later November? There is no reason for mystery at that point, the rumor is not connected to it

Plus, this is supposed to be an announcement from Nintendo. Since when did Nintendo own anything about Doom, anyway? Doom may still be possibly included if it is some kind of presentation, but otherwise, I can't see Nintendo announcing something about a property they do not even own.

So, I read that the NSO got a noticeable update akin to when the SNES Library was revealed afterwards? Hmm. 🤔 Also, just saw the DOOM Eternal Switch version release date trailer and there were two things I noticed that caught my attention.
  • Throughout the entirety of the trailer, I saw no blood spilled nor glory kills. NONE. Hmm... avoiding all ultra violent imagery on the trailer; understandable since it's the Switch version and perhaps Nintendo specified to hold back on that for the trailer.
  • The Switch version will be coming out on December 8th; which is two days before TGA 2020, AND one day after Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's anniversary (I believe this year would mark the second anniversary). Hmm... and we're currently on Fighters Pass Vol. 2. 🤔 How curious.

DOOM's on here but it's a special edition of DOOM Eternal plus 6 mystery games. The "street date" of 12/31/20 is a placeholder but heavily suggests these mystery six games will be announced by the end of the year

Doomguy #78 coinciding on DLC 8, release of Doom Eternal on the 8th, one day after Ultimate 2nd birthday and two days before TGA and it’s 27 Doom anniversary.

Geno #79 being revealed at the end February and coincide him with the 25° anniversary of SMRPG in March.

I know how you feel. Plus, Geno doesn't have to be revealed ON the anniversary. Aside from that, number theories and theories in general (though some may not be bad) are just dumb, and not something to rely on.

Just kidding hahaha I know numbers doesn’t mean anything, mostly after #77 theory. Also Little Mac was the only coinciding reveal+anniversary.

On the other hand, I do believe Geno is playable. I don’t know about Doomguy but makes sense also.

Finally, there aren’t space for all and Im worried for the others, because I think the characters with the more chances are Geno, Crash, Hayabusa, Lloyd, Rayman and the other between Dante or Hunter. But there are only 4 slot left. I believe it’s very likely a FP3.

As long as Geno gets in, I’m perfect. And believe that he is indeed happening!

The funniest part of this scenario is that Nintendo specifically said they were done with Partner Showcases for the year. If they were to drop an Indie Direct anyway, it would be such a troll move on Nintendo's part.

Idk maybe a GBA online announcement will be coming soon.
Hopefully this means Smrpg on SNES, accompanied by Mario and Luigi super star saga.

Personally I think Nintendo still plans to make money off of additional n64 ports/remakes so I just don’t really see them giving away their better titles on there for “free”

I’m not expecting much, if anything, tomorrow. Even though the Direct archive update is interesting, it might not mean much considering how many there were back around September.
Can an announcement still happen tomorrow though? Sure, anything is possible. But from July up until now, Nintendo has been HARD juking insiders with rumors and leakbait that it’s been hard to tell if anything notable is going to happen soon.

To be honest, unless there's a reveal literally right after the Mario tournament, I'd feel kinda bad about Geno's chances as a fighter (or a Mario character in general). Yeah technically he doesn't have to participate in the tournament in order to get in; but it's a tournament featuring all Mario characters. It'd feel weird if they hold the tournament and then like a couple weeks/months later announce a new Mario character, wouldn't they want to schedule it in a way that allows Geno to participate in the tournament in the first place?

He could still happen, but I wouldn't really be feeling good about his chances.
