Well to be fair, you don't need to look everywhere to see why he was banned.

I'm gonna miss Wynn ngl. I want to take his mantle as the resident Geno doubter to keep this thread balanced, without all the blatant baiting.

Say, if there is a Direct this week, guys, how would you feel if Geno was not announced in it? How would you feel if he was announced there?

I believe the 2017 September Direct was the week Samus Returns came out. That might have been the last time, though I’m unsure. Either way, the direct will most likely not be next week as they rarely do Directs past the middle of the month, with the 15th just barely cutting it, if a Direct happens then. Basically, it’s either now or February, which is quite frightening considering everyone here including me just wants to see who #5 is finally, and maybe finally have Geno revealed.

So will I to be honest. Although I don't approve of a lot of things he did, he was like the Yin to our Yang. I never really minded him much myself.

Not forever. Usually these bans only last a few days.

My theory is that Geno was one of the first DLC characters decided past the Fighter's Pass. I have a feeling that Sakurai had a list of characters that he was super interested in adding and he just carried that over. Fighter's Pass is finalized in November 2018. Season 2 very well could have been on his mind already. Move forward from there. A whole bunch of weird Geno stuff happens in June/July 2019. This makes me wonder if this was when he started development. Six months later, we're in January. We've established that characters seem to be ready to "present" as early as four months out. April is four months from now. Supposedly two characters went into the "polish stage" in mid to late December. A trailer could hypothetically already be ready for Geno just like Joker had one at the VGAs. My theory is that Weird Al Yankovic will be ready sometime in February. Add two months and we're at April, falling in line with the typical release schedule of DLC characters since 2015.

I don't think we'll just get an Animal Crossing only Direct whatsoever. After all, that maintenance seems like it'll be for much more than just one game.

I’m hoping a Nintendo Direct happens this week and it’s not focused on Animal Crossing... it would suck having to wait till February, but then the only bright side is maybe they’ll release fighters 5 and 6. As of right now, my expectation is just 1 fighter revealed and it’s a fighter no one has mentioned. I mean, the way announcements tend to go, I have a hard time believing a triple reveal, but like this, I’ll be very surprised if it’s more than 1
