For real. While I would bet the farm this leak is total bunk with a lineup like that it certainly hasn't stopped the insiders from turning speculation into a soap opera like they seem to be so good at.

Yeah, this isn't a great look. I don't know, some of Sabi's stuff hasn't quite felt like her old self since she sort of got more mainstream. Back at the beginning of the year it was a lot easier to see where she was coming from and she felt a little bit more upfront, and now it's kind of all over the place and today in particular just seems super strange. I feel like E3 was the turning point for all of this and I don't know what to make of this...

I just don't get this, it's like they want all the clout from being a leaker without actually having to stick out their neck to actually deliver. Sabi I can understand because nintendo is on her ass and could probably do something to her, but it seems like EVERYONE is acting like this now. Plant was the only guy i can remember that always told it like it is no funny bussiness but with them out it seems like flipping nintendo is the only one left in the leaker game, and that's just sad.

I don't really trust leaks that "predicted" Piranha Plant. Apparently he was known by a small group of people weeks before.

To be honest the only leaker I trusted and and always trusted from the start is Vergeben ever since the Ridley/Simon leak due to his good track record from before.

Well if this brew guy is telling the truth about ryu then I guess I'm not surprised my own predictions aside it seems like he's been at the center of discussion since the Terry thing. Once it drops though I'll trawl the image boards and see who all won the speculation lottery, there usually good for a laugh if nothing else and I imagine we wouldn't have much else to talk about until at least TGA

No disrespect to anyone but I agree insiders can sometimes come off as self gratifying clout chasers. Aside from Geno and Isaac, the big draw of the Grinch leak to me was for the insiders who vehemently opposed it to be fed some crow. Oh well!

I agree with how little validity "knowing" Plant beforehand adds to a leak. I'm almost certain the original 4chan post in which anon tells us Kencineroar and Plant are the last characters has been posted here.

Worth noting is that Ryu has also been a speculated character since TGA2018 because Tecmo had an announcement, not to mention this notion that he's somehow the "last NES icon" (a sentiment I disagree with) we need to complete whatever ancient ritual having all those characters in one game is going to complete. Haters love to post that Geno is how to make your leak instantly fake, but I'm of the opinion that Ryu Hayabusa fits that description. We'll see when we get there.

I don't believe this rumor mainly because of the idea that this is a very lackluster list of fighters after Sakurai made it sound like we'd get a few heavily requested characters. Half of these characters don't even register for that and the leaker somehow knowing release dates AND gameplay of 5 characters is extremely unlikely by any means.
