Dun Dun DUNNN!!!!

Exhibit A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqHx_Inq-Dw
The third part of the Stabbedbyahippie interview.

The interview contains the typical Mango random bull**** stuff. A lot of "plays gay", and describing his own genitals. But starting at 8:01 it starts getting interesting.

"But I'll see you all at Genesis. I'm going to **** all of you. But mostly I just want to **** PP because I heard hes been getting cocky."

So we can take from this that Mango primarily wanted to go to Genesis II just to face Dr.PP because he somehow felt he was disrespected.

At Genesis II Dr.PP was feeling pretty sick and wasn't playing his best. As an result Dr.PP ended up in the Losers Bracket pretty early. Which brings us to Exhibit B.

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=284863&page=462

More specifically the chart on that page posted by Juggleguy.

Now, heres where the conspiracy theory starts. We all know that Taj beat Mango and sent him into the Loser's bracket. But what some people haven't thought about is that the Loser of the Mango vs Taj set would go on to play the Winner of the Dr.PeePee vs Shroomed match. As we all know Mango went on to lose this match. Coincidence? Maybe. Or is it possible that Mango lost on purpose in an attempt to extract his own personal revenge on Dr.PP himself? I honestly, would have responded to this question with an resounding NO! But then the weirdest thing happened in Loser's finals. Taj vs Mango in a rematch in which Mango kinda dominated. O.o

The win in Loser's Finals took Mango to Grand Finals in which he faced none other than Armada, a repeat of Genesis I. Which again brings us to Exhibit A.
At about 8:19 in that clip Mango says " Lets just all let Armada win. So who ever faces Armada in finals just let him win, but make it look like your trying."
Grand Finals ended with a thrilling 5 game set, with Armada as the victor. A 5 game set would definitely fit under the category of "making it look like your trying" and therefore fullfill all of Mango's wishes coming into the tournament.

So what should you take from this post? Absolutely nothing, its an F'ing conspiracy theory. Its WAY safer/smarter just to give props to all the participates involved. Taj was on his game and playing great, and Armada simply won what hes worked his butt off for years now to earn. So taking anything from any of the players that attended is pretty ridiculous. But maybe. . .. .just maybe. . . .Mango just mindgamed the entire community.

Mango was taking it easier on Taj. He was fresh after destroying M2K, and all he did was rush Taj down mindlessly. He never switched characters, and showed little adaptation. Some instances showed that he could see right through Taj, but he only made a few of such punishes.

It's quite possible that he sandbagged to face PP. When he got to Armada, why didn't he switch to Puff, a character that had beaten him solidly before? Pride?

Either way, he lost. The question is: what was he thinking?

I could only imagine what Smashboards would be like if Armada won the first Genesis. :awesome:

It's pretty obvious he lost intentionally to Taj the first time. However, I don't think he tried any less than his hardest against Armada. He said himself he was going to win Genesis 2, and he didn't.

The only real question is here did Mango lose to Armada on purpose.

Mango not going Puff makes sense in either scenario. If Mango was legit (tryhard Mango) he already has explained that he considers Fox to be his best character now. And thus WOULD be expected to use Fox in GF's. Regardless of if you think Mango was "trying to make it look legit" or if he was actually trying to win it all. Also I'm fairly certain that Mango would be scared to freaking death of losing to Armada's young link as puff, considering how bad he was trolling hungrybox for losing to a low tier at Apex 2010.

What most likely happened if you actually saw the damn matches-

Taj wins on a Yoshi's, Mango salty runs back and wins. Same happens for battlefield, and without mad powers of salt, lost the last game.

As Mango came back, he had salt for blood and just wrecked **** up in the set.

Moral of the story: Mango plays better when he's salty.

Lol, I was there and saw Mango's face when he lost against Taj. He wasn't throwing the match. I cant say for sure about Armada and him in Finals though.

What was his expression? Elaborate please, lol!
He was kinda bummed. Not too much, but whatever.

As far as Mango losing the tournament, it's possible but not too probable. He'd at least have taken it to a second set in the Grand Finals if it were the case. But maybe he threw the first two games to Armada and then accidentally lost game 5.

Either way, both of them played amazing, and it was definitely one of the best sets I've ever seen. I just wish there had been a second set so we could have seen more of that fox.

Despite being the threads creator, I kinda dislike threads like this aswell. I in no way want this to be some sort of asterisk on Armada Genesis II victory. As he honestly SHOULD be considered the best in the world for winning this tourney. But if there is anyone in the world that would be willing to lose on purpose just for the shiz and giggles of trolling the community it would be Mango.

This is actually what happened guys. I totally said that in the big info dump thread last night.

Umm pretty sure we weren't watching the same matches bro. Mango started off each match ****** a few of Taj's stocks off. I mean like total domination. Then as soon as he has a lead he starts actively trying to get himself killed, throwing himself offstage etc.

First stock of game three (sic it was actually game 5) he DOESN'T TECH THROUGHOUT TAJ'S ENTIRE COMBO.

If you can't see the pattern here, well, I'm sorry but you're hopeless.

Consider Mango's mindset going in here. He has been expecting to fight PP and PP's been trash talking pretty hard for the past few months. Then PP gets sent to losers and it's looking like his flu-ridden bird isn't going to make it to GFs. Of course mango is going to chase him down there.

I'm just going to repost what I said in the original thread.

Plausible maybe, probable no. I think it's more likely that AR has been preparing for the rematch. Hell, look what he planned for HBox after his loss at Apex. Armada is incredibly patient, and not just when he's timing out in-game either. His plots to overcome obstacles have already been shown to span months - I think it's certainly plausible that he's spent the last two years preparing for the Mango rematch. Meanwhile, Mango has been sandbagging and taking his title for granted. So while he may be the more talented player overall, AR wanted the victory much worse and *probably* went to great lengths to decipher Mango's playstyle.

This is all IMO of course, so take it for what it's worth.

^My name is commander incronaut and this is the best post in the citadel.

general Consensus: mango threw the matches against taj. It is still up in the air against armada.

Opinion: mango threw the matches against armada, thinking he can win easily enough to the next set to make it epic, only to unintentionally lose to armadas raw ****.

Again, it is important to clarify that taj, armada, and mango all played phenomenally this last weekend

People really think he threw the set with Taj? I mean, TAJ did beat PP what was it, 2-0, and Hax, among others. Is it really that far fetched that he beat Mango in a super duper close set? Yes Mango played very, very uncareful and aggressive, but really, when doesn't he? Maybe he didn't mind losing so he could face PP and didn't play to the absolute best of his ability, but I don't think he THREW it...

What if Mango had other people bet large amounts of money against him, and then give him money for throwing the match?

And what if M2K was really a robot from outer space programmed to be the perfect Smash player, but he malfunctions in the presence of Hbox, Armada, Mango, and sometimes a couple others?

We will never know the truth, but I hope Mango did plan all this. I love conspiracies.

So wait, Did Taj beat Mango in a set? Then he came back and fought Taj in another set and ***** him?

Mango is a freemason.
