One year for an episode isn't so bad right? =P

My favorite episode currently is 6 because so much stuff happened at once, it was a wild ride.

Super Mario Bros. Z is the only fan-made crossover media I pay attention to, lol.

IIRC, Alvin said he was planning to make it a 15-episode saga, so if he's planning an episode a year, he'll prove to be really dedicated to make it through these next 7 years.

I'm still waiting to see where Wart fits into all of this. :/ And the shadowy Eggman silhouette screams "mechanically revived Eggman" so loudly it can be heard a mile away.

By the way, does anyone here tune into Super Mario Bros. Z?
I used to be really into it. I haven't seen many of the new episodes, I should get on that.

HOW CAN I BE THE MARIO UNIVERSE MOD IF I DON'T LIVE AND BREATHE MARIO?!

I watched SMBZ. Last episode I remember is Fire Sonic.
FTW
Also, Thousand Year Door was awesome. Everyone agrees that Shadow Queen was HARD.

About SMBZ ep 8, did any1 notice that Stuffwell has been missing from the rest of the episode? He might be the one that helps Mario...

Tch, I'm slow when it comes to games these days, I barely have time for many of them! :(

HOWEVER, I did just pick up a good copy of TTYD and for only 20 bucks!

I was thinking about creating a MKDS [wifi of course] tourney, but I'm not going to create a thread unless I know of at least eight people that would be willing to do it. Any takers?

*keeps list just in case*
-UberMario [Forgot FC lol, I'll try to get it]
-Bowser King [FC TBA]

Rules
-Offline courses are not legal, just for the sake of ensuring no one uses an AR for cheating purposes.
-4 races per 1-on-1 duel
-Tracks that are available by default can be chosen at will, even if it was just ran

Any other ideas for rules?

I wish I could do it if my MKDS would connect to wi-fi (we talked about this already UberMario lol)

Make it MKW and we're golden. I have no idea what happened to my copy of MKDS. :(

UberMario strongly dislikes Mario Kart Wii, (as well as a number of Mario Kart fans), even say the Mario Kart Arcade versions are better. x_x

Since I haven't played Mario Kart DS since Mario Kart Wii came out, I'm not going to like losing like a noob, plus no Toadette. )=

I'm going to assume that you mean that other fans don't like it and not that I don't like the fans.

Wait. What do they think is wrong with Mario Kart Wii?
I understand that some people like it, but these are the reasons I don't like it:

-Broken Tier List (Daisy and Funky Kong prevail over most of the cast by simply being chosen, almost undisputable that they are the best)
-Broken Bikes (I can never chose karts online because I know I'll get screwed if I don't end up with newbies, Flame Runner and Mach Bike are too useful aswell thanks to stand-still-mini-turbos)
-Thunder Cloud (Seriously? An item that hurts you? This item actually originated in Mario Kart Arcade GP, but in that one the character throws it, attacking the player it hits. [If I recall it eletricutes them to give them flat tires])
-POW Block (Even with the dodge tech, the block pretty much screams "Item Strategy Remover", What I liked about the other games was that the only item that could take away your items in such a way is the lightning, but thankfully that is rare in most of the games. Boo, Mushrooms, Stars, and being pushed off can remove them too, but you get some warning in most of the games, other than boo where you only can really tell you'll get your item swiped in MKDS)
-Spiny Shells (Waaaaaay too often, Mario Kart DS had about 20% less spiny shells and at least in that game you can tech dodge them)
-Battle Mode (I loved taking out the players in a "death match", now the balloons pretty much serve no purpose and spiny shells have no place in battle mode, I virtually never chose team mode in MKDS so I was not happy when that was the only choice in MKWii)
-Wifi (The wifi is excellent, but one thing that bothers me is that you can't change your vehicle after finishing a race like you can [every 4] in MKDS. I've had too many matches using karts that I wouldn't have lost with a bike, and I've had too many matches I dominated because the majority used karts . . . . .losing points for dominating a race and losing it due to a spiny shell isn't fair either)
-Battle Courses (Too big, even in a full field on wifi I usually have to take about 15 seconds just to find someone not on my team, it pretty much makes me want to camp each time)
-Race Tracks (It's like they went out of their way for the retro cups to choose some of the worst tracks from the games: Shy Guy Beach [Perfect Square], Yoshi Falls [Meh], Peach Beach [Nearly an elongate Oval], Ghost Valley 2 [Probably would have been more difficult if it wasn't made so huge]. Most of the retros are ok, but my main gripe with the tracks are the difficulty, or rather lack-there-of. To compare how hard Mario Kart Wii is, a full 3-lap race on Rainbow Road has less turns than a 5-lap race at Mario Circuit 1, the very first track in Super Mario Kart.)

And that's why I dislike MKWii. I don't have a problem with other people liking it however. The opposite reasoning to the above is why Mario Kart 64, DS, and Super Circuit are tied for my favorites.

MKW's all I got, and yay at the love for SMBZ. Can't wait for the next episode. I still think Luigi's going to save Mario.

@Uber's post
-I though that only really mattered in TT. Sure, on a straightaway, they're going to (barely)outrun you, but MKW's got so much chaos going, i don't think character choice is THAT big
-Bikes are broken, plain and simple
-Thundercloud sucks too. Hurts more than helps.
-I could've gone without the POW block too, but it's not THAT bad unless the other racers are smart and throw their red shells when it comes, or you're on a turn or jump
-BS is BS
-Friends mode takes away all the point related problems, and ensures no hackers or anything.
-Battle mode sucks in MKW. Period. Coming back and forced teams are so dumb.
-The retros suck. Why we haven't seen Wario stadiym or Colleseum again, I will never know

I can assure you, I've passed Daisies into the turn on a Mach Bike vs. a Mach Bike only to completely lose it on the straightaways. Maybe Mario is just that bad at being fast. >_>;

It's not so much the spin, it's the fact you can not relliably save an item for a specific place. i.e. Banana Camping on the DK's Jungle Parkway bridge, Lightning Bolt for when the leader is about to make a jump, Star for a shortcut, etc. which was one of my favorite aspects of the item system.

I still think that if you hosted a MKW tournament, you'd get a pretty big turnout. Despite everything you just said, there are still a lot of people I know who'd be interested in partaking in such a contest.

I know I would. :laugh::laugh:

If there's a Wifi tourney for MKDS, then I'm gonna have to mess with my router, which I do not want to do.

60% of people who play MKDS online know how to snake. "Snaking" just ruined MKDS for me as far as Wifi goes.

I'm sorry, but I always find it hilarious that people use this as an excuse when you can snake in Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart Double Dash JUST as easy. If I had a video capture device I'd probably record one of my snaking runs on Mirror Mode Toad's Turnpike, now that's truly a blast. [Totally serious btw, you can snake nearly everywhere in MK64, except narrow areas like bridges, and pretty much everywhere in MKDD too, and I get just as much a boost and can do it nearly as fast (MK64 is slightly slower than MKDD and MKDS' snaking, but if you do it right you can snake so fast you only see white smoke because the game doesn't get a chance to load the yellow smoke before the mini-turbo is started]

While snaking was really nerfed in MKWii, it's still possible, the only games where snaking is detrimental are SMK and MKSC. (If I recall you can snake on Mario Kart Arcade too)

Prolonged Rocket Boost

That tech is insanely hard to pull off, I think I can count on my hands the number of times I PRB'd more than a full lap, maybe twice a full three laps.

I think it's
Prolonged
, but whatever.

I remember doing that on Donut Plains through the grass after the bridge and at the end of the 3 laps, I got under a minute O_o

If I could snake, I would then have a different opinion about this. I'm actually glad it's impossible on MKWii because not everyone can do it.

If you think the two characters and two bikes are such a detriment to take away competition from a race, you could just ban them, since it is your tournament you're planning on running. Wouldn't affect me, in my case, except for being without the Flame Runner. I'd just have to get used to using Luigi and Bowser on the Wario Bike again.

Can you remove items from races in wifi? It would make for an interesting contest, itemless Mario Karting. I'd get in on that.
