There's emotionless characters that are fun to watch, and others that are not (:
And it's not like it was the only highly fascinating thing about the show; there's also "will there be a villain that's believable or has the slightest chance at winning being at least actually inconvenient?"

Has anybody read the Mahouka Light Novels besides me? I haven't really started the Mahouka anime yet. I was gonna wait till it finishes.

So close to being caught up with magi, chapter 199 was yet most hilariously awkward thing I've read in a long time.

FINALLY! Alibaba returns some feelings for Morgiana.Alibaba and Mor's relationship reminds me of how I am around people I like. Hopelessly one sided.

Akame is getting better, I've heard a lot of people bashing it, but I think its a series that needs buildup before it gets good.(steins gate is another)

Tokuo ghoul keeps getting better, when the anime ends, I'm definitely reading the manga.

Still don't feel like watching SAO II

So did anyone see the new trailers for the Fate/ stay night remakes by ufotable? There will be a 2-cour anime of the Unlimited Blade Works route and a movie for the Heaven's Feel route. And the animation's looks ****ing crispy like Zero! Fall anime season hype!

Other than that, I'm rewatching Fate/Zero along with my brother. There's a charm to seeing the story unfold for another time (as well as buildup for stay night.) I should finish Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood with my stepbro tomorrow. Still yet to see Sacred Star of Milos. I've just started Death Note and I checked out Clannad today.

Oh, also swallowing the pill that is SAO II (why didn't you just continue with the title Gun Gale Online? Dun give a **** about the light novels. That's inconsistentcy with the current plot!) Not interesting at all, but I will say it's showing more promise in its start unlike the first anime. If only it didn't take you 4 episodes to pace us to the main action.

Maybe they went with Zero first to give stay night some breathing room?

The payoff of the remakes is that you'll have to stick to the Deen anime for Saber's story.

Death Note is amazing, I know you'll like it.

People say Clannad is sad but I guess I have a heart of stone because I didn't cry at all.

I'm excited about the Nanatsu no Taizai anime coming this October. The manga is one of the better shounen out there.

I'm finally caught up with all 233 chapters of magi, and dear god it is incredible. I put it even higher on my favorites than Hunter x hunter.

We all know who the baby is, the page even said it is obvious. Now the author will create a new level of trolling by making it a character that we never expected.

I need a new series to read...suggestions?

I hear a lot of people say it's a gushy, heartfelt tearjerker. That seems to be the impression I'm getting. It's an anime I watched because I was in the right mood to watch it. I can't just go in stone-faced to expect any emotional reaction like I would most other anime.

Anyone, do you consider Clannad to be an uplifting sotry?

Clannad is a great story, and while it will get sad, it uses the "Key magic" that every Key/Visual Arts game has. Air, Little Busters, Kanon, Angel Beats, and Rewrite are all the same way.

Key's works are always fantastic. Even Toei Animation's version of Kanon was good, no matter how bad that art was.

Congrats on finally getting caught up on Magi. The series is pretty good and Alibaba is hilarious <3

Oh boy, I can give you a lot of good recs. I assume you still want to read an action manga/manhwa correct? If not, I can recommend other genres as well. I'll rate all the series I recommend /10. For reference, I gave One Piece a 7, Nardo a 4, Fairy Tail a 2, Bleach a 3, and Magi a 6.

Try:

http://www.batoto.net/comic/_/comics/the-god-of-high-school-r280 - 8/10

http://www.batoto.net/comic/_/comics/tower-of-god-r1 - 9/10

http://www.batoto.net/comic/_/comics/noblesse-r11 - 8/10

http://www.mangahere.co/manga/kubera/ - 7.5/10

These are some of the more popular manhwa. Manhwa are basically Korean manga. If you've never read one before, these are great and will help you ease into the style. I say that though they look exactly like some of the best drawn manga and some (all the ones I recommended) are in color. Also, these are read from left to right and you can read them on your preferred manga site, and not just the ones I linked. If you want a manhwa that is more like a manga (no color, read right to left, etc.) try The Breaker (8/10). It's also amazing. If you don't feel like trying any manhwa and just want to stick with manga then...

http://www.mangahere.co/manga/medaka_box/ - Medaka Box is an alright series. Though, Kumagwa is one of my all time favorite manga characters. Too bad Kumagawa doesn't show up until about chapter 50 >_> 5/10.... 7/10 when Kumagwa shows up <3

http://www.mangahere.co/manga/psyren/ - One of the first manga I ever read and the art style is still some of the best I've seen. 6/10

http://www.mangahere.co/manga/666_satan/ - Manga by Kishi's brother and I must say. It's better than Naruto Shippuden imo. 6/10

http://www.mangahere.co/manga/rain/ - 8.5/10

http://www.mangahere.co/manga/kingdom/ - 8.5/10

Those are it for the manga recs. I tried to keep the recs to shounen for you since Magi is... well a shounen. Not all of them are shounen of course. I'll just leave this one here since it's one of my all time favorite manga. It's a seinen so there is a LOT of blood, and gore along with some nudity.

Alibaba is great. Awkward, but great. The part where they ask him if he became a man while he was in Reim was freaking hilarious.I read Psyren, I actually own 12 volumes of it XD. I'll try those others, thanks for the recommendations.

If I recall, the new SnK chapter is this weekend. Unless I'm wrong, and I usually am about dates. I want to see how this effort to get rid of manga pirates goes, it'll be interesting.

TA did the 2002 version, KyoAni did the remake in 2006 after Key loved how KyoAni did Air.

They also did the Clannad Movie: http://myanimelist.net/anime/1723/Clannad_Movie

Look it up first before you say I'm wrong next time.

Edit: Studio Deen did do FSN: http://myanimelist.net/anime/356

Zankyou no Terror is pretty good, but it's no Barakamon or Nozaki-kun.

Saying Clannad is more tear-jerking than Angel Beats isn't exactly an uncommon opinion, but I'm inclined to agree. The closest I've come to tearing up was during season two of Love Live. Hate on it, chumps.

I'm not afraid to admit that the only time I ever cried while reading a manga or watching an anime is when I was reading a certain part of Gantz. Yep, GANTZ. It's not even supposed to be a sad story and I cried.

Gantz > Clannad ;_;

even with that in mind, i literally listed all of the studios that did the absurdly lackluster adaptations, the whole 'X anime didnt exist' is a long-running gag among nasuverse fans because all of the above mentioned were really, really bad

i can kind of forgive you because you're obviously not clued in to all of this (since you had to look it up), but seriously dude, chill

Dude I teared up when the OP from Season 1 started playing during Love Live Season 2.

The feels were real.

And yeah Nozaki-Kun is amazing. I think that, and Glasslip are my faves this season. Oh and Space Dandy of course.

I only watched a bit of Nozaki-kun. Not really looking into getting into another comedy nowadays, I guess. I'll probably give it another shot later on.

For real. They kind of flipped the "good show" switch on for the first 9 or so episodes. I was worried the melodrama would be as bad as the first season's, but I felt like those crying episodes were tactful enough and they hit me pretty hard.

Funny you say that because Glasslip is actually the worst cartoon I've had the misfortune of seeing in a long time. I've never dropped anything, but I'm really tempted.

I guess it's funnier if you've read a bit of shoujo manga.

Wow, I'm surprised by that. The only shows I've ever tempted to drop are Soul Eater and Strike the Blood. But I haven't dropped a show yet. What don't you like about it?

I haven't read Shoujo manga and I still find Nozaki-kun really funny.

I never gave Nozaki-kun a shot but I've read a lot of shoujo manga so I guess I'll give it a try.
You should like it. I hope.

Not really that I don't find it funny, it's just not really peaking my interest. :p
Pique is the word you're looking for, but it's understandable. The mundane isn't for everyone.

Glasslip is the most boring thing since Mahou Sensou. Nothing even remotely interesting has happened and in a slice of life, you're kind of required to at least like some characters for it to be amusing. But no, Glasslip fails in every aspect except art and animation. The story is roflbad, I knew it was going to go downhill the moment that time thing was mentioned.

It's one of those things that's just a bonus.

God, @  Ya gotta correct everybody?

Harumph.

Smooth Criminal
I spelled "embarrassing" incorrectly for almost 17 years because nobody told me. It took a squiggly red line for me to learn. I'm not about to let it happen to someone else.

So is anybody else upset that Toonami switched Batman and Black Lagoon's air times? I have to watch Netflix now during Batman in wait for Black Lagoon.
You're upset because of airing times? I think the Black Lagoon dub is pretty terrible so I can't imagine it inconveniencing me too much.

I ain't seeing enough love for Zankyou no Terror. Lookin' pretty good so far.

I'd personally say Clannad is more tear-jerking than Angel Beats, but that's just me.
The only thing about angel beats that made me extremely sad was the last song "Ichiban No Takaramono".

So is anybody else upset that Toonami switched Batman and Black Lagoon's air times? I have to watch Netflix now during Batman in wait for Black Lagoon.
I think they did it to keep ratings up during batman. I don't know anyone who is watching toonami in anticipation of American animated superhero shoes. I want to bet after black lagoon, the viewer count dropped, because there is nothing special after it.(FMA has been shown through already, most have seen it). They probably switched them so people would leave their TV on while waiting for black lagoon.

Just a theory.
