Good to know someone gets use of this thing, Raven. :ganondorf:

Anyway, at the behest of fellow Ganons, I've begun the update by adding new videos to both DLA's and my sections. I deleted all the "NEW" tags off of videos that weren't actually new, so the new ones are marked as such. If anyone has any videos, now'd be the time to post 'em!

The new ones are:

DLA vs. Ally
DLA vs. Chuee
Vermanubis vs. Jamnt0ast
Vermanubis vs. Bladewise

I love the way you use nair against Marth. But why not more uair?

:059:
Thanks, d00d. As for UAir, it's really good in theory (and sometimes in practice) in a lot of cases as an approach/OoS option, but for the most part--especially against characters with range like Marth--their FAir can beat out our UAir, whereas NAir has a much higher chance of trading, has much better frontal range and sets combos up better. So overall, it's safer and has a higher potential pay-off than UAir from several different angles. Plus, I like to keep from using UAir too much just because it's one of Ganon's few viable kill moves in the Marth MU that doesn't require hard reads or quantum-foam-precision spacing like BAir.

Gotta stop jumping up from the ledge, Bloody! Also, don't be afraid to pick up ROB's gyro and hold onto it. That takes 80% of his pressure game away while you have it.

Best metaphor I've heard in a long time.
For someone who created the universe, you'd think QFPS (let's make that a thing now) would just be a trifle to him. :colorful:

Also, I wanna put a "featured" list up at the top to encourage new videos. Let's keep the list at three featured videos. Which ones do you guys think should go into it? It's gotta be relatively new though.

Edit: Updated Bloody and G~P.

Flipman's a good mix-up, though it's pretty dangerous. I guess it'd be better stated to say don't be so eager to get off of the ledge. You're right in that which his ledge options are poop, but altering the timing and faking people out's the way to turn a single bad option into a semi-okay passable one.

You should post all of the Ganon Gauntlet videos too, those are an excellent way for people to observe many different Ganon playstyles.

I really need to learn how to do the flipman actually (that is the lagless uair off the ledge right?)

Anyway, I plan on combo-videoing reasonably soon so Ill post it here when it gets uploaded

Don't worry, Verm. I'll be sure to use QFPS as much as I can and watch people try to figure out the acronym.

I liked your side B's and Nairs. But in some situations, you should have used Uair instead of Nair because it's faster and leads to frame traps if they air dodge. Also, you need to roll less; use more shield instead. Other than that, you seem to know how to use Ganon well. Good reads and good use of advanced techs.

Thanks DLA, im new in this forum, I'm a bit lost for that and for my English, but I've seen all the videos that were posted on this thread. And thanks for the tips, there is still much truth that I must learn as flipman by example.

Bienvenido, mi amigo Panameño :) Flipman no es importante, focus on the basics first. Try to use more short hop Dair (thunderstorming), and make sure you know all of the proper followups after side B--learn how to buffer Dash attack, Dtilt, Ftilt, and jab, and learn which characters each attack works on. Side B->dash attack is guaranteed on about 3/4 of the characters in the game--it's probably the most reliable KO Ganon has. Dash attack is a very good move.

Dígame si tiene preguntas :) My spanish is bad, but I'm good at explaining things in English.

^I was joking that last post and didn't mean anything bad by it. Good Ganon :)

____________________________
Buffering is if you input the next move during the ending 10 frames of the current move or attack. This makes the next attack happen as fast as possible.

During, not after, the ending lag of left:stick4: or :stick6:right + :bbutton:, press left or right then:cstick2: to dash attack as soon as possible.

"Buffering" means performing an action just before another action ends, so that the action comes out on the first frame. For example, if you side-B (flame choke), and press jab during the final 10 frames of the side-B, your jab will come out on the very first frame that the side-B ends. Same with D-tilt, F-tilt, and dash attack. (Jab is pressing A, Dtilt (down tilt) is holding down and pressing A, Ftilt (forward tilt) is holding < or > and pressing A, and dash attack is pressing A while running).

Buffering is important because it means that your timing doesn't need to be perfect. Instead of a 1-frame window, you have a 10-frame window. Hitting your opponent with jab/Dtilt/Ftilt/dash attack after a side-B requires strict timing, but buffering makes it much easier.

waaaaaaaa brawl de emulado?? o_O
Eikelmann I have my Wii, which is where I play, as you could see in the fight against Captain Falcon, my camera is bad. But in the fight against Snake I played on PC and I do not really like to play on PC prefer my wii console, I do use the emulated brawl to record the video in high quality.

You have to have a banana in hand when you flame choke. Once they hit the ground you glide toss the banana downwards so that it allows you a chance to follow up with more options.

Here's a video on glide tossing and it tells you how to do it in the description http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDtdmdkzaro, but it basically is inputting a roll and quickly throwing an item before you go into your roll animation and thus allowing you to slide a certain distance.

In ganons case with a banana he can follow up with a variety of moves if the banana connects such as F-smash, D-smash, Up-smash, grab, f-tilt,d-tilt, or even another flame choke.

Those are really good, in particular the ROB one. He could be more assertive when edge guarding; he doesn't pressure the opponent when they're offstage. Backwards Uair would have helped in those situations.

Thanks for helping me with Bowser critiques.

Good evening, guys.
I have a friend who plays Ganondorf and is the best of our region over here. He asked me to post his videos here, to see what you guys think.
I'm doing it for him because he doesn't know English. Here goes:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsqtdWIWmNI (vs. :zerosuitsamus:)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vX9ckseftjE&feature=player_detailpage#t=309s (vs. :rob:)

The last one is a GF tournament set.
Decent vids, I'll give them a proper study soon.
What region is that, may i ask?

Well, not much of a region as it could count as "the whole country" pretty much. We're from Argentina. But we don't have "nationals", or anything like that, since we find it very unlikely there are other communities on the provinces (we recently contacted another province that has like, 6 players, counting in people who know how to play).

Oh cool. Well, Greeting from England. hope your community grows, It's possible to get other people interested in playing along the way which would be good.

Anyway: Your offensive play is pretty good and you are very good once you are up close. However you could stand to be a little more patient in getting there. Sometimes you would rush trying to get to your opponent and it would get you hit by a projectile. Against characters with relatively fast projectiles, it would be worth your time walking towards them and trying to powershield their projectiles along the way, Granted it's a lot slower. But it's much easier to not get hit (because you cant shield during your initial dash animation, and ganon has a long dash animation).

Also if you've been hit and you're just getting back to the ground, you'll want to mix-up how you land if your opponent is going to be there, Quite a few times you would do something like Down-B or Side-B on landing and the opponent would just avoid it and hit you again. Airdodging into the ground (or even doing nothing very occasionally) will be a better option because it leaves them guessing.

Hope this helps!
