Ganon's up smash is the fastest smash attack in the game? Faster than Fox's and Pikachu's? Wow
Coming out, no it's not. However, if you look between the total frames, it seems, Ganondorf's is the fastest U-Smash by far, since his total frames are 41, comparable to Fox's 56 and Pikachu's 44. With IASA Frames between frames 24 and 41, Ganondorf essentially has the fastest U-Smash in the entire game, because with IASA frames, it means his U-Smash is literally 23 frames. That's faster than even most up TILTS because of the IASA frames!!

That is an incredibly fast U-Smash, so it's definitely the safest, fastest and best U-Smash in the game. Speed, power, damage, this smash is definitely something not to laugh at.

Ya, Usmash is light-punished at best, most of the time.
Low risk - high reward ftw.

I'd like it if it got a slight increase to the width of it's hitbox, but man this is cool. I guess I have to spend that much more time committing the EXACT area to memory.

U-Smash is actually almost unpunishable since Ganondorf's IASA frames can let him act out a quick option to punish opponents (even Sheik) who try rushing in. The best option to utilize the mind game with Ganondorf's fast U-Smash is by using the D-Smash as soon as the IASA frames start up, since D-Smash will come out extremely fast and combined with its new power, is deadly near the edge of the stage with this sort of mind game.

The attack can bump shields (strong version of poking), cause opponents to automatically slide on shield and is a decent anti-air attack and great for defeating projectiles except for Thoron, Arcthunder, Arcfire and PK Fire (Ness). Otherwise, the attack between Frames 21 to 23 will automatically destroy any projectile with transcending priority.

So yeah, very low risk, very high reward.

Ganondorf is supposed to have a grab game that punishes rush-in opponents. You shield the attack and grab it once the hitbox is no longer in effect (since shielding nullifies single-hit hitboxes), or you wait for the multi-hit attack to end before grabbing the opponent and punishing accordingly. Ganondorf doesn't need a proper grab range, he needs proper utilization of his grabs from his players, something I can prioritize upon.
Pretty much every character can do that though xD It's just shield grabbing.

Its hitbox isn't great though. It's a good move, but best Usmash is stretching it. No other Usmash has quite the same utility though. Not many Usmashes are combo starters.

The only other U-Smashes I can think off the top of my head that are, are Link's, Mario's, Doc's, Luigi's and Rosalina's.

But think of it this way with Ganondorf's:

-KOs at 40% fully charged on frame 23 (the apex of the attack), 60% uncharged on frame 23 and 70% at the foot on the other frames.
-Starts combos at lower percentages; even able to set up to another U-Smash.
-Extremely fast overall and good horizontal range and vertical sweetspot.
-Transcending priority on projectiles via his feet, thus rendering Ganondorf unmarred.
-Can create mind games or allow Ganondorf to anticipate a rush in or another attack.
-Extremely powerful.

If that isn't rounds for the best U-Smash, then what really is by this point?

There are only 2 Upsmashes in the game with Autoguard.

Ganon and Bowser.
Although Ganondorf's Autoguard is horizontally based, making it more efficient at guarding him against rush-in; and again, adding to the IASA frame's advantage, Ganondorf's AG on U-Smash is what sets his U-Smash as the Trump Smash.
