Gainesville Melee Biweeklies 4/12

[lvl9 CP]

There will be a Biweekly this Saturday, 4/12, at 5pm. Maybe bring a couple of dollars and we'll buy pizza for dinner, or I'll just cook something up after I've been eliminated (i.e. after finals )

Where: My apartment (it's in the Landings. Call me for the Apt number).

Who: Derf, HarriettheGuy, Sub_Scorpion, Renth (when he's on this side of the world), RockCrock, and I will routinely show up for this, plus the occasional Exarch, Nafix, and CrispyOne. We have 3 TVs (plus whatever anyone brings), so there should be lots of room for matches. If enough people show up we can have a teams tourney too.

make it saturday afternoon though. friday nights are for going out. unless youre me and have a ****ing project due every friday by midnight. which similarly would keep me from attending

My apartment is big, but it's not a mansion. If I said that RockCrock was a regular, every smasher in the SE would immediately flock to my apartment,and I just don't want to house that many people. Besides, you've missed one or two because of WoW ; -)

Brawl Champion!? You obviously haven't played my ROB yet! I spent years perfecting the art of rolling (the most advanced technical skill in Brawl) with Yoshi in melee, which puts me right at the top of the Brawl rankings!

Bearing all of the schedule conflicts, I'm thinking that we could either start the tourney at 9:30 (after my thing*) on Saturday, or do it on Friday night (~8pm) for this week. Anything else seems like it will end up skrewing someone over.

*My thing this Saturday is a once-a-semester event, so Saturday at 7pm should work for all future weeks.

in the end its your call, but the reason id argue for earlier in the day (maybe not this next week b/c of your plans), is i think more people would be free than they would saturday night. plus if people wanted to drive from ocala, etc, or maybe dogy they wouldnt be stuck here till 4am

As far as the setup goes, we have 2 TVs/Cubes already, and we'll have 3 assuming Fred brings his (I love you Fred). That should be enough, but you live close enough JJ that we can get yours Mid-fest if we need to.
