Future Tier List (Inspired by the all mighty DTL)

Yeah, I'm a bit bored and would like to make my own future tier list. If the SBR can do this kind of stuff, then so can I!

Here is the current tier list:

S Tier
1. Meta Knight
2. Snake
3. Wario
4. Falco
5. Diddy Kong
6. King Dedede

A Tier
7. Marth
8. Mr. Game & Watch
9. Pikachu
10. Olimar
11. Ice Climbers
12. R.O.B.
13. Kirby

B Tier
14. Lucario
15. Zero Suit Samus
16. Toon Link
17. Pit
18. Donkey Kong

C Tier
19. Peach
20. Luigi
21. Fox

23. Sonic
24. Sheik

D Tier
25. Bowser
26. Zelda
27. Pokémon Trainer

E Tier

Now for my version (maybe one to two tier lists into the future).

I'll use the current layout (S, A, B, C, D, E, F) for comparison's sake.

(Note: There are two main criteria that this tier list will follow. Character representation, and tournament results. How many people play x character and how well do they place in tournaments?)

S Tier
1. Metaknight (+0)
2. Snake (+0)
3. Diddy Kong (+2)
4. Falco (+0)
5. Wario (-2)

Notes: Diddy has GREAT representation at the top level of play. Has good matchup ratios with most of S tier. If people learn the matchup, he'll probably move down, but he's just too good to move out of S tier. Wario was simply a casualty, he's a great character but I think that Diddy and Wario are SLIGHTLY better than him. Falco and Wario are tied in my mind, the only edge Falco may have is having two players that place extremely well on the west coast (DEHF, SK92)

A Tier
6. King Dedede (+0)
7. Marth (+0)
8. Olimar (+2)
9. Pikachu (+0)
10. Ice Climbers (+1)
11. Mr. Game & Watch (-3)

Notes: Not many important changes here except Olimar going up due to better representation and G+W going down because of little representation. Pikachu's metagame is getting better by the day, but there's just so much talent above him that he really just gets *********** by the rest of A tier.

B Tier
12. R.O.B. (+0)
13. Zero Suit Samus (+2)
14. Kirby (-1)
15. Toon Link (+1)
16. Peach (+3)
17. Donkey Kong (+1)
18. Lucario (-4)

Notes: Zero Suit still continues to wow me (NickRiddle is sooooo good). Toon Link has a few good players (Jash and Chip come to mind). Peach is very underrated and has surprisingly good representation (I've seen the magic myself, hai Meno), and DK can fair decently against everyone above him except Dedede. Lucario is another casualty of good talent above him, although he might be better than DK. I can always change things around if I need to.

C Tier
19. Pit (-2)
20. Luigi (+0)
21. Sonic (+2)
22. Wolf (+0)
23. Fox (-2)
24. Pokemon Trainer (+3)

Notes: Although I've seen some good Pits play / played them myself, I haven't seem him place well at all in tournies (why? I can't really say). Luigi has shown a good amount of potential, but not enough to warrant a rise. Sonic continues to shine, but I think that 21st spot is as high as he'll ever go. That's still a 10(?) spot rise from the second tier list. Fox's falling speed can be abused by characters higher than him (ZSS, Pikachu) and that's too much of a disadvantage for him to move anywhere but down. Typh and Reflex continue to show how awesome PT is. I think that 24 is the highest he'll go. (also, Steeler. He's soooooo good.)

D Tier
25. Sheik (-1)
26. Bowser (-1)
27. Ness (+4)
28. Zelda (-2)
29. Lucas (+0)

Notes: 4 spots might be too much of a rise for Ness, but he may prove to be worthy of it. FOW, Timotee, and a few other Nesses have shown his potential in mid to high levels of play (FOW taking out big name players from SoCal recently, Tim taking a game off of ADHD and just being overall awesome )

E Tier
30. Mario (+0)
31. Ike (-3)
32. Yoshi (+0)
33. Samus (+0)

Notes: Kind of a desert for good characters. Mario hasn't wowed me at all in high levels of play. Ike has no representation from what I've seen. Yoshi and Samus are fine where they are for now. Yoshi is on the rise and Samus is at about the right spot.

F Tier
34. Captain Falcon (+1)
35. Link (+1)
36. Jigglypuff (-2)
37. Ganondorf (+0)

Notes: Ally and Rebaz have both shown that Falcon has at least some potential. Izaw shows that Link can do some stuff and do it well, although he still has too much downside for him to move up any more. I can't name a single decent Jigglypuff main, and Ganondorf is Ganondorf. Awesome, but horribad in competitive play. He might move up above Jiggs though, you never know.

I know DTL personally, we <3 each other. His idea was cool and I've never made my own list before, so I wanted to do the same thing as him and give my opinions.

Think of it as Pokemon Red and Blue? Same thing but a few differences

The few diffrences still didn't make me wanna buy the game.

I got Platinum which is like the real Tier List and the extra junk is like people complaining about how their character should be higher for "X" reason.

At least you gave some reasons making it alittle better, but there've been too many of these lists.

Wow, Sheik fail. She is a character that really should have been a place or two higher than she was in the last list (she's certainly better than Sonic). A Sheik was the highest C tier in Genesis, and only a single Toon link beat her out of anyone below S and A tier.

As for Zelda, she should probably be D tier, but lower in it that she already is. She is a stronger character than Mario, Ness and Lucas IMO, and is only let down by poor representation.

As for pure Zeldas doing well, look up Dark Musician. However, his placing aren't entirely true as once he feels he cannot win a match win Zelda, he goes MK. However, other than that, it is a lack of good players, as it is with many low tier characters who aren't as ridiculously fun to play as Captain Falcon and the like.

You make good points about Sheik and Zelda, gm jack. Armada did place well in Brawl with Sheik. I'll do some more research on her, and if what you say turns out to be true, the spot inbetween PT and Bowser looks pretty good. But in the end, my opinion doesn't really have that much of an impact.

As for Zelda, She could take Sheik's old spot. Maybe the spot right above Bowser, if Sheik takes that spot from him.

EDIT: Changes made. I watched about 3 matches of Armada, all of them made me go "wow".

Yeah, I'll admit your list is much better. The point of mine was just showing I honestly believe MK is not the best, as well as other changes. Sadly, I feel your list actually is much more likely for it to be.

Also, I'm not as sure with Peter, but that point of my list wasn't what I thought the tier list should be. It was simply how I felt it would be further in the future. It's a little different than people posting their ToonLink shud b hire threads...But I get what you mean...

Also, lol at Chaco. A lot of people on SmashBoards don't like me/ I like UnderLoad/ UnderLoad must suck...
