I just realized I forgot about posting the rules haha. I should do that sometime today. It will be MLG type rules with maybe a few changes.

That was our back-up plan. But getting housing would be better + cheaper. Maybe if some other out-of-staters wanna get a hotel/motel room with us we could have some sort or smashfest afterwards, including money matches and alchool matches. The hotel/motel will ahve 1 tv I imagine, + we're bringing 2 or 3, so we could have enough TVs for alot of people.
If anyone is interested with this plan, post here, or MSN/AIM me.
This doesn't mean stop looking for housing for us, housing would be greatly appreciated >_<. Usually, up here, we have more than enough voulenteers for housing when out-of-province smashers come to tourneys,[flame] proof that Canada > USA [/flame]

I posted the rules, please pay attention to which stages are banned. They are identical to MLG's banned list aside from Kongo Jungle being not banned. Also, notice Dave's Modified Stupid Rule, and regular counterpicking...
I think that's it, did I miss anything?
Also Canadians, I don't think we'll be needing any more TVs. But I'm not sure entirely, there's just no place to put them at DM, I'd imagine. I just don't want you guys to lug them around for nothing, I'll get back to you on that later.

My parents are very blah about housing 2 people, so 5 would be impossible, sorry guys, wixh i could help.. hopefully ill have my own place soon, then everyone can stay there
im going to be with my girlfriend so i cant get a room with you guys because she doesn't want to be sleeping other people in a hotel which is kinda understandable. however, maybe you guys could stay at the same place as us and we could smash in both rooms close to each other (have 2 rooms of tvs ) then split up before we go to sleep for the night.
tis the only proposition i have to get some pre-tourney smash x.X.
oh, and when there are tournies down here housing is abundant too. ct is full of young lazy smashers, i dare them to prove me wrong. *attempts to have ct step up housing*

Even if the venue were to be 1 hour away, I'm not really into going there, playing smash and comming back. Staying there overnight is imo a must, it just makes the trip more enjoyable and less tireing. At the moment, it seems that the hotel/motel option is prolly the best thing for us; Plairnkk, we should talk about this over MSN/AIM asap, this event is pretty soon, nomsain.

Hm, I really don't know where to start looking for motels. I mean, I myself live a good distance from the place so I don't know the surrounding area well. Anyone else could probably find motels with the same amount of effort I'd use, if that is what you're trying to find. To be honest, I don't know where I'd start.
I never expected this tournament to be this large with this many OoSers coming, and housing is fairly limited. If people can house you, they will, and if they can't, well tough luck. The Canadians are easily the top priority since they're a good 6-7 hours a drive away (and in another Country... wait, is Canada a country?)...
AIM people, PM them, whatever. People have already volunteered to house and that is what is available.

Done, done and done. No success. The fact that this tourney is so big means that there should be even more opportunities for housing. TBH I'm a little dissapointed, but whatever, evil karma ghosts will drive your cars off a cliff.
