Yeah, doesn't look really productive for the first day, but there's not much more to be doing at the moment, especially when I have no classes...at the moment.

I've got about twenty minutes or so left, I'm just enjoying what time I have now to soak in what's around me.

I can leave class early when I'm done assignments; I can walk into the library whenever I feel like it; I have a schedule, but a loose one; my first teacher is overall kind and not an *** like people make professors out to be; I can eat lunch whenever I **** well feel like I want to; nothing is blocked on the computers, hence this message... The list goes on.

Given, I already knew half of what I just described, but it's nice to actually experience the treatment you get at college. High school does not have that freedom, and I understand it's because most people are immature at that age. But I've felt mature for a while, and it's nice that it's recognized.

Anyway, I hope you read with some enthusiasm left. Thanks for reading.

Btw: people meet up after school every Wednesday for Brawl. Great, right? haha

Back in my college years they were so-so but the flexibility makes it enjoyable

Some teachers let you eat/drink in class. Which is pretty cool if you missed out on your lunch hour if you had to do homework.

I highly recommend taking some type of debate class. I had philosophy classes where the whole hour and 20 minutes you sat in your chair and discussed issues going on with the world today. Everything from politics, abortion, religion, wars-- all of it. You'd also get to debate amongst yourselves too and the teach would throw out more questions to keep it going. You also get graded heavily on talking in class.

Those exams, were pretty easy too. Take home, choose 4 out of 8 topics and just discuss your point of view on paper in a smart compelling way. 2-4 pages max, double spaced, 12 point font.

Just be careful not to go too far with your freedom, and study once in a while ^_^. College is awesome but it's good to keep yourself on a schedule.

lol i hope that doesn't happen to me T_T

am i the only one here who's going back to school on the eighth?
Depends on where you're from. This is east coast Maryland.

I had my first day of High School today. My Biology teacher is weird and gave us homework. What a ballsack.
lmao Your use of the word ball... Are you referencing me?

And I had no idea you were that young. You come off as sixteen or so.

Anyway, if anyone is interested, I just finished classes. And with the way my classes are set up, I don't have college tomorrow or on Thursday. hahaha College rocks. ^_^

[And little did the foolish smasher know, he would have fifteen classes each day of the week and weekend during second semester]

I go back on the eighth. WMU. :)

Although most college professors aren't ***** or anything like that, remember that they do truly care about the subject they're teaching, and there may be a point where they'll feel like the students aren't putting any care in their studies. At this point, they can turn on you VERY quickly if you happen to be one of those students.

Trust me, I'd know. :ohwell:

You're so lucky. My college has attendance policies for every class. It's a part of our final grade. Feels like effing high school for me. lol
