The MC Clusky
Smash Lord
Ok, so I haven't been doing much hosting in quite a bit of time..... not since FS7. I've been getting bugged quite a bit, and so I'm making this thread just so I can get some ideas on what everyone wants.
I'm planning it to be mostly a Brawl tournament, but I can welcome Melee too. Just they will have to supply TVs, since the majority will need to be dedicated to Brawl.
Venue will still likely be Gamelot, unless I find something else more suitable. Now I'm a little worried about the door fee. It could honestly range from 6 to 10 dollars. I need to investigate. If you asking me why the door fee will be increased, there is two primary reasons:
First being FS7 had a 6 dollar door fee, because Cliff was bit upset about having to show up and help us haul in the TVs.
Second: Nori of Soul Calibur fame held a tournament back in August, and for no real reason decided the door fee was 10. Now I know that's pretty high compared to other smash tournaments, but Street Fighter players are an older and more financially stable crowd. In fact, 10 is kind cheap in terms of a Street Fighter tournament >_> since Gamelot got the same amount of money for half the players, I'm not sure if they want to suddenly go back to 5.
Most importantly, I need people to decide on a date.
When should I host the next FS?
January 10th 2010 (the week before Pound 4.... which looks to eclipse Genesis ) (this will need at least 50 votes from people in Texas before I consider this.)
Feburary 2010
Spring Break 2010
Just wait until summer....
Vote in the poll as soon as it's ready.
Events:
I'm a traditionalist, which means I like running singles, then teams and one more thing only if there is time. Of course, this being San Antonio, I love running Random Stage Random Character tournaments.
Just throw out ideas, and I'll see what seems to be most popular. A duelist tournament would be nice....
Any other things people want to throw out, just start saying something.
Pre-hype!
