I haven't finished it, but the difficulty has suddenly bumped ridiculously high
I'm level 36 and fighting all the Four Fiends in the Giant of Babil, and there's no way to get any items/ get out of the giant. However, I'm pretty sure this is near the final parts of the story.
Is there not a little vendor person near the save point? What version of FF4 are you playing?

I think it's the greatest Final Fantasy, with the greatest cast, the greatest storyline, the greatest videos, greatest music, greatest everything.
But not the best graphics! I kid, I kid. FF VII really is a fun game.
I also love FF5. It had the worst story on the planet of any game, but it had the best gameplay. ^_^
With a villain named X-Death, the story just had to be bad.
But yeah, FF V's job system was awesome. I liked the story a lot, but it's pacing was a little bad. World map music was really cool though.

Oh, it's much worse than that. ExDeath not only had a stereotypical villain name, he had absolutely no logical motive. As one hilarious GameFAQs review put it: "ExDeath is not a character; he is a plot device." He really was there just to give the good guys something to fight.

I'm playing Advance version.
There's a save tile thing, then you go left, up into next room, and then to that bridge place which is when the fight starts. I'm sure everywhere is blocked off, but there may be somewhere I could go.

FF4 on DS added "augments". I love them. They open up so many customization options.

FFIVDS is also harder than the GBA version. Up until then they'd only been remaking the "easytype" versions that became the US FFII. FFIVDS is as hard as the original Japanese version of the game. I had to level more in that version than in the GBA version.

Yup. In the original FF4, Rydia could learn Meteo at around level 60. In the DS version, she did not learn Meteor until around level 80.

But FF4 had 5-member parties, and one row swap switched up the entire team at once!

Yeah, FFIV is pretty awesome. It and FFV offer that last bit of "pure" fantasy feeling before the "Final Factory" era. Although, I have yet to complete FFV, so for all I know there could be a big Mechanical Kingdom of doom at the end of that game.
I left off on FFV in this flaming cave area after Galuf's death, and a new girl joins the party

And I haven't played FFIV in almost seven years...

I already have a DS so I'm almost there. I do plan on getting it eventually, but there are so many other RPG games I haven't finished yet. I don't know how I ignored the DS FFIV, though. I guess my interest in FF must've been recently reawakened with Dissidia.

Is it any good? In some above posts they said Sephiroth and Cloud were terrible.
Sephiroth and Cloud are playable in enough games. Them being terrible doesn't make or break the game.

It's some of the other characters such as Terra that I care about.

What is Dissidia? @_@
Final Fantasy fighting game that was released for the PSP.

It has every main hero and villain from final fantasy 1-10

and a hero from 11, a villain from 12.

Yeah Dissidia has the main protagonists from FFI-FFX (10 chars), the main antagonist from FFI-FFX (10 chars), Shantotto from FFXI, and Gabranth from FFXII. That's...

Warrior of Light (FF1) andGarland (FFI)

Firion (FFII) and The Emperor (FFII)

Onion Knight (FFIII) and Cloud of Darkness (FFIII)

Cecil Harvey (FFIV) and Golbez (FFIV)

Butz Klauser (FFV) and Exdeath (FFV)

Terra Branford (FFVI) and Kefka Palazzo (FFVI)

Cloud Strife (FFVII) and Sephiroth (FFVII)

Squall Leonhart (FFVIII) and Ultimecia (FFVIII)

Zidane Tribal (FFIX) and Kuja (FFIX)

Tidus (FFX) and Jecht (FFX)

Shantotto (FFXI) and Gabranth (FFXII)

That's 22 characters. Here's a trailer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRdUffpPJz0

And I agree that Cloud and Sephiroth are abit overexposed. Don't get me wrong, I like Cloud and Sephiroth as much as the next guy but it's time other FF stars got to bask in the spotlight.

Cecil + Rosa + twincast = Win
Eeeew, I hated Twincast. It was useless after using the actual twins to fight the elemental fiend. I use the Twincast augments just to dump onto characters to get them to release more augments later on.

This.

I agree, IV was amazing. My 2nd favorite FF. Cecil, Rydia, Kain, and Golbez especially were awesome characters. And hopefully the sequel to IV comes out in the USA, hopefully on WiiWare.

But but but...Ultima...

What other moves can make good use of the Limit Break? Does Meteor go higher with a limit break? :D

Limit break allows all moves to breach the 9999 limit,
I guess Flare + Limit Break + Omnicast would devastate any group of enemies pretty easily
and Ultima + Limit Break is a must have when playing
Proto-Babil it has 400000HP with max stats
<-- so hard...

Jesiah, there is no 27th time right now. You are playing FF7 again only to finish it and think "****, I think I need to beat it again."

That being said, please private message me your bank account information and social security.
