England against USA isn't as much of a foregone conclusion as people are assuming. England should win but it won't be that straightforward. I can definitely see America scoring, probably from a set piece and getting a draw. All the pressure is on us.

Pretty boring game, indeed. Not that I am surprised, France hasn't beeen playing an interesting game in a while.
Anyway, here's the first (actually second) update on the forecasting contest.
While the result of the first game was unexpected for most people, Uruguay vs France has been easier to forecast, allowing 9 participants to score points. Draxraven is alone at the first place, thanks to 2 perfect guesses.

Well done by South Africa, I was expecting Mexico to completly dominate, which they did for the first 15 minutes. Arghh yelled and jumped up when in the last 3 minutes South Africa almost go the goal but hit the post.
France and Uruguay, expected a good match. Dam 90 minutes not one goal, poor play. The moments I don't like about football.
Hopefully some awesome games soon, none of this draw bs.
