Mexico started well as I expected and S. Africa seemed to panic, but they played some nice football too after they got over their nerves.

Franco should have scored. S. Africa had a decent chance near the end with a good spell of pressure.

But what a start to the second half by S Africa. Great goal.

I was woken up by my mom screaming goool during the first half. She's native born there so yeah. Then I found out that someone was off-sides so it didn't count. Hahaha anyway, from what I saw (second half onward)... Mexico got lucky. After S. Africa's 1st goal, Mexico seemed to start to feel pressured and they started to F-Smash spam trying to go for the equalizer (see what I did thar). Eventually, Mexico started to settle down and score that nice goal. It boggles me how S. Africa did so well to almost score those potential goals. I definetly saw heart in S. Africa, no doubt about it.

South Africa played pretty well. I expected Mexico to dominate this group, but considering the fact that France is not at it's best at the moment, it might be really close between those 4 teams.

That make 15 points available with only 3 forecasts.

Winners of pools forecasts
For each pool, you can forecast the name of the 2 squads which will place 1st and 2nd and therefor be qualified for the knockout stage (the order doesn't matter).
For every correct answer, you will get 2 points.

There are 16 teams to guess, so you can earn up to 32 points.


With the 16 games of the final bracket, that make a total of 239 points.

A ranking of the contestants will be updated regularly.
