Well, considering Jam's responsibilities in this section have recently increased dramatically, I'd say he's a bit too busy to be concerning himself with featuring a forum topic. Don't worry, though. Once things calm down in here, I'm sure it'll start up, again.

I chose the group story project for simple reasons. The OP story was well written for starters, and second of all, it was an ingenious idea which really got a positive response.

Everyone's really enjoying it, so something like this without doubt deserves BotW. I think this is Jam's first one too. :D

First of all, read the announcement at the top of the UB (the one about Featured Blogs, not the one at the top that's a general announcement).

Second of all, I don't think suggesting your own blog to be Featured Blog is going to go over well. It's pretty much always been decided by the moderators.

I'm just saying... does is this really necessary? Why turn blogging into some kind of ranking competition? There's no featuresin a person's experiences. Just pure literature. c:

Not exactly a ranking competition. Just an archive of some good blogs people liked.

Most of these are pretty good.

Tbh it's just a way of recognising a blog that (originally Jam Stunna) felt was really well written OR generated good discussion. Sometimes it's the discussion generated that got Blog of the Week.

I changed it from Blog of the Week because

a) It meant having to choose a blog every week even when, ya know, some weeks had no particularly great blogs and some weeks had several.

b) I wanted to take away the "competition" element of it and just recognise really great blogs. Of course haven't seen any in a while I guess, incentives incentives, maybe I should work on getting postbit awards for all featured bloggers.
