Falco's Glide Toss is dam good.
First off, "What is glide tossing"
Well glide tossing occurs when you have an item and as you throw it, you can "glide" backwards or forwards.
This is a main part of Diddy's game (since bananas=item), but also has it's effectiveness in other characters such as Peach zamus and Rob to name a few.
How to Glide Toss
Glide tossing is simple. I think it would be best to learn it first as diddy since diddy's timing has much more leeway than Falco.
So how to execute:
Hold an item>Roll (back or forward, if you want to glide back or forwards respectively)> Quickly smash the C-Stick in the direction you want to throw it.
(You could also use "A + analog direction" instead of c-stick, but for not chucking forward+glide toss forward, it makes it harder)
For diddy, this allows him for much movement when throwing bananas, leading to grabs, tilts, smashes, or even another banana (much more detail and advanced uses in diddy subforums)
So what does this have to do with Falco?
Yeah, so diddy gets most of the fun, so why should we care? Because if we get hold of the banana, they is nothing stopping Falco from glide tossing as well (it's just more difficult timing, and I only managed to forward glide toss atm)
Reason #1:
Diddy's glide toss gives him about glide distance around faclo's body lenght when he glide tosses. For Falco.... IT IS MUCH MORE!. Like nearly half of FD, that's more than your average boost smash! Like he glides FUTHER than he throws the banana FORWARD>
Reason #2:
And this leads up to things for Falco as well, especially his grab. (YES, YES CG TIME!).
If you hit the banana, you can grab/tilt/smash/shine them as they (100%) trip.
If they shield the banana, you would have been propelled behind them due tot he glide toss, so you can pivot grab etc as well!
Any thoughts?
Maybe you wouldn't feel so eager to simply chuck away the banana next time against diddy.
