Well I have just registered to the forum a few minutes ago, so I will introduce myself.

I have been a falco competitive player since melee, and when i first used falco in brawl I wanted to kill Masahiro Sakurai for doing that to my favorite character. I loved pilaring and shl in melee, and when I discovered the new physics in brawl I instantly knew every advanced technique learned in melee was going to be useless.

So I spend many weeks researching on internet and exploring brawl physic to see if I could continue using falco as main. I was not going to To betray my favorite character just as many smashers did. So, by a weird coincidence I discovered this amazing stuff. I called this Z-shi (Z short hop illusion) because it is simply what the name describes.. and by hearing it, this doesn't seem to be something out of order. But combined with another techniques this can give you an enormous advantage to your game (some philosopher said once that anything you can do that your enemy can't gives you an advantage... yeah that was why simply mastering wavedash you could kik n00bs ***** in melee). But personally, I call this lightning because the name is shorter and the technique is really flashy.

Here is a demostrational video introducing this:

It will take a little hard efford to master. Enjoy it.:chuckle:

The vid date is December >_>

The concept is ridiculously simple. setting L, R, or z to special makes it ten times faster to hit jump(say x butoon) then hit side b. I wouldnt really call it an AT...eh. oh why would you betray falco lmao? Hes one of the best characters in melee and brawl.

Yeah, it's IAP, we've known about it for a pretty long time. We know about the canceling tricks too, and DEHF seems to be using them quite a lot.

Useful, but we knew about it.

Lol.... Falco has chaingrab > Pika has QaC > Pika has chaingrab > falco has always had IAP....

*falco vs. pika* = teleportin', projectile spammin', chain-grabbin' DBZ face-off..... lol

What does this have to do with anything?

Campy Falco is gay and dumb and the reason why so many Falco's complain about not being able to get a kill. Faaahhhh rrreeeeaaaaalllllzzzzzz.

^What's that have to do with anything?

Nothing except for the fact that it's wrong. Campy Falcos have no problem killing because lasers always keep the Usmash unstaled.

Doesn't matter how fresh it is if you can't land it? Can't land it if the only time you start using it is when they're in kill percentages? I don't know. Saying somebody is using Falco wrong for not camping makes me mad :(

You don't full on camp, you just have to realize when to keep your distance and make them come to you. Most people group that into camping, but it isn't really.

I was actually thinking about making a new account, and all, posting something about Boost Smashing or Hyphen Smashing.

You know, to keep the tradition going.

what I like about the video is that the way it's explained is just like... "So it's a Phantasm, but closer to the ground."

Dun dun dunnnnnnn.

Anyway, I don't get why this was posted today when the video for it is from December, and we've known about it since... forever.

IMO, campy falco is better. but it depends on the character ur playing. if they have a quick jab or grab (marth grab, zzs and lucas jab), or longer reach jab/ grab (D3 grab, meta ftilt) then i play different. Ppl w/ quicker jabs and grabs i canp all day. ppl with long grabs i camp all day. but only longer jabs like metas ftilt(not his real jab but who chars) i play aggressive and campy. HOW U PLAY FALCO DEPEND ON THE THE SPEED AND RANGE OF UR OPPONENTS: JABS GRABS OR TILTS. ( or even approach atks in general)

If you're going to change R to anything change it to attack. R with special just makes IAPing easier, while with R attack, you not only get a more reliable Gatling Combo, but an easier time doing it. Also, it makes the DACUS IMMENSELY easier, and if I'm not mistaken, changing a different button to attack (at least I know with sheik) is the only way to consistently, if even at all, achieve maximum distance and speed. Hope you consider it, because eventually you will get the IAP down where you will never ever mess up, while you may fault on some attempts to DLX or DACUS, as even some of the veterans can tell you.

i score perfect dacuses every time by using claw >__>;

also iap can be achieved to this level by sliding from y->b, no need to switch to shoulder or z

it's impossible to press any wrong buttons if you know what you're doing lol, unless your thumb is as big as a fatty fat chipmunk with nuts in its mouth you're not going to touch the a button with the side of your thumb, period

But Thats Good && All
But I Can DLX && DACUS Immensely as easy as you
Can Do It By Changing R To Attack
I Thank You For Your Help But
DLX && Gattling Just Seems So Natural On Defualt Controls For Me
Meh. Maybe Its Just Me . .
Chainging R To Attack Has Gotten My ''Flako'' Metagame Moar Serious.
The Fact Of IAPing With R To Me Seems So Comfortable
Thanks For Your Comment Though;)
