In brighter news, it's very close to 2015 which is the year we finally get Mewtwo. Rejoice.

Well yeah. Also 2015 makes me hopeful for new 3DS news. I need a stage grand enough to propery display Mewtwo when the Wii U is out of reach and this old 3DS with no circle pad covering is hardly fit for such an honor.

Hopefully this month, probably next month. Nintendo has allot of things to confirm/deny so that rumors will stop spreading, most notably Earthbound Forever and Shin Megami Tense X Fire Emblem as well as confirming/denying more DLC as well as showing off other games like MM3D and Devil's Third. So they gotta have a direct this month or next, which is when we'll see Mewtwo.

I want to say some time over the course of the next month, but we probably won't get one for quite awhile, possibly as far away as early April. One thing I'd really like is irregular updates on Mewtwo, such as what they've completed so far, almost like the PoTDs. It'd be much easier to gauge his release date and possible trailer dates. However, I don't expect anything like that, especially after the recent conclusion of the PoTDs, so I guess I'll just have buckle down and put on my thinking cap.

I actually got this card as a box topper for one of the collector's tins and looking back at it, it reminds me of SSB4 Mewtwo.

I admit, shamefully, that I've never played an Earthbound game. I never owned an SNES or an NES, so my first console was a Nintendo 64. However, I like Ness from what I know about him, and I'm also Lucas and Ninten fan. But mostly Ness. Anyway, I could own and play all of the Earthbound games if this were true. And, this collection of all the Earthbound games would be a perfect opportunity to add Lucas and possibly even Ninten back/into the the battle. Please let it be true.

I wish I knew the usual release dates for GameInformers as I predict there will be a Nintendo Direct directly after or on the same day as the February issue releases which is when we'll see more Smash...

Just speaking about all this predicting dates stuff, I pose a question: How long do you guys think Nintendo is going to keep supporting Smash 4 with DLC, assuming they don't stop due to poor reception? I'd guess at the very least for the next year, but, realistically, I'd say they might continue to support it until the next Smash enters the works. I'd love that.

Well, with the way the Internet's been hyping him I wouldn't be surprised if Mewtwo got his own trailer of sorts. They can at least show off that cool Mewtwo rendering reveal clip again but with some footage mixed into it. And this is wishful thinking but I'd love to see a Mewtwo amiibo even as a Club Nintendo exclusive. It'd probably sale out quick so maybe a limited quantity thing like that would be good for a gold and/or platinum membership award. Again, wishful thinking.

Yep, amiibo modders will probably take care of that. Custom Shiny Mewtwo, Mewtwo with his armor, etc.

And the laziest amiibo customization of them all, super-glueing a spoon into Mewtwo's hands to give him his Pokémon Adventure look.

The only thing I fear is that Mewtwo will be banned or even completely unlayable at local torneys. People may cry out "unfair" because not everyone gets a chance to practice as Mewtwo before the matches. And if the tournament holder didn't take advantage of the Club Nintendo offer then Mewtwo won't be a choice at all thus really "screw-attack-ing" (random Metroid pun) over those who really mained him. This is why I hope NoA follows Nintendo of Europe and releases Mewtwo later as (probaly paid) DLC. That way Mewtwo gets to be a valid contender for such tournaments no matter what (or at least so long as the torney holder chipped in extra cash to unlock the commodity of smashing as a true legend.)
