What I'd like to know is how did one passing comment by me spark an entire tangent? Anyway, back on subject.

Taking a peep at Melee's palette swaps for ol' Mewtwo, I'm wondering what they could do to jazz things up a bit? Or would we be okay with Vanilla Mewtwo, Orange Mewtwo, Grape Mewtwo, Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mewtwo etc. etc.?

I would kill for Armourtwo.

I would be all over that like rainbow sprinkles on an ice-cream cone~

I'd like all of his Melee palette swaps back, but with his Shiny one updated to include green eyes. All of the new ones I'd want to be based on his wide variety of Pokémon sprites, like a Black-and-White one. As for his Armor, I'd kill for it, but I'd kill twice if it was like Wireframe Mac. I actually have a list for this. *Opens up one of many Mewtwo-related files pinned to Taskbar*

Normal-Normal Mewtwo. No explanation needed.

Blue-Used as an Easter Egg in Pokemon Stadium. Slightly resembles Giegue and his in-game sprites from Red/Blue. Used in Melee.

Green-Mewtwo's eyes would also turn green. Resembles his Shiny form.

Yellow-Mewtwo's tail turns a greenish-yellow color. Resembles his in-game Shiny sprite from Silver.

Orange-Used in Pokemon Stadium. Also somewhat resembles his in-game sprite in Yellow. Used in Melee.


Red-Mewtwo's tail turns a distinct color of red. Heavily resembles his in-game sprite from Yellow.

Black-Mewtwo's tail turns a gray color along with his body paling and his eyes turning gray-black. This makes him black-and-white. Resembles his in-game sprites from Red/Blue.

Dark Purple-Mewtwo's tail and eyes turn a deep purple. Resembles his in-game sprite from Black/White.

Alt. Costume-Armored Mewtwo-Mewtwo dons his armor from Mewtwo Strikes Back! Each recolor dons the armor. This brings his costume total to 16!

Not just for Mewtwo, but for everyone. I think that if it actually ends up used, it'll be absolute crap that potential(if not guaranteed) DLC follow ups like Snake are listed without info. And I mention Snake because if he were added, it'd be a GIGANTIC missed opportunity to reference his codecs.

Then again, we know next to nothing as of now.

Mewtwo is a mutant pokemon to remind you guys (the scientist want to make the worlds most strongest pokemon they used the baby from mew to give it a shot and ended up making mewtwo which is almost unstoppable) (kindof anyway)

(So sadly very likely for mewtwo thats the guidence and very possibly the other future dlc if mewtwo pulls threw with that.)

Seeing this always reminds how badass Mewtwo truly is. The end of it is chilling, especially with Gary's reaction.

I really hope Sakurai lives up to that this time.

It could be a placeholder for later DLC, since nothing is planned atm, so if something comes up for the actors, they can just use that in it's place. I hope they don't use that for Mewtwo, he's a bonus character, he should be, at the very least, the last one with a codec.

You could make a fake US address and get the code that way. Living in Mexico hasn't stopped me, but then again, I have a legitimate one.

Hm... Well, that's something. I actually really like it as a Codec. It's interesting, especially the other dimension part, and it's funny in context. That said, I don't particularly like it as a Codec for Mewtwo. I'd like something far more specific, like pretty much everyone else on this thread. I'd like to think that it's a placeholder or a way to prevent crashing if you hacked someone in as a playable character. I mean, it's far from unheard of. Remember ???-type Arceus in Generation IV?
Also, the mention of Master Hand being hacked in got my gears cranking. I mean, think about it. "I have no data on this fighter"? Well, Master Hand's never been a fighter before and he's God to the characters. "Intruder from another dimension"? It's been suspected since 64 that Master Hand (and by extension Crazy Hand) the hand of the Announcer or some other human being, obviously not from the World of Trophies. I'd die if Master Hand was DLC, shrunk down to a smaller size, like Ridley, of course. He's recent moveset revamp opens whole new doors (even though I dearly miss Triple Poke). I wonder if there's a thread for that... *Runs off*

Edit: Hm. There's not, but the rules say no Stage Bosses. Master Hand is just a Boss in general. I wonder how long that loophole will stay opened.
