I can't really think of anything that remotely threatens this team. It's a pretty **** good team. Hm...

If Rotom has switched in a few times with SR up or has taken residual damage, DD Gyarados can sweep your team. You could Intimidate juggle, but both of your Intimidators are Flying-typed, meaning Stone Edge ***** them. Not much you can do for that. You could try making Rotom-H scarfed, but that'd make you more weak to CB Ttar + DD Gyara (then again, that wreaks many teams).

You also have a SubPetaya Empoleon weakness, as it can set up on a Dragon Pulse or Bullet Punch and proceed to sweep the rest of your team. Gyarados is the only one that can take a hit, and that gets 2HKOed by Surf. Scarfing Rotom-H and making it Timid would let it outspeed and revenge kill after you break the sub.

Slight Agility Metagross problem if Rotom-H is down, but it should stay alive and be able to burn it or hit it with Overheat.

its pretty decent.

but...i know legendarys are pokemon too, but if you have them in your team, its always gonna be powerful. i would've been impressed if you had all regular pokemon. but its a good team.

That's one Naively, Adamantly Bold Pokemon team, Umbreon.
But you forgot about the Garchomp, wait no. Gyarado-. Hea- Sc-

You're dead once they create a Dark dragon with levitate.

Yeah, but at least none of them are Uber.

iirc, wouldn't the 4 EVs on Azelf be better in attack, and wouldn't the 4 on Gyarados make it even more susceptible to SR than it is already?

otherwise grrrrr

Haha, #1 most-used lead and the other top 5 Pokemon from Shoddy August 09 statistics. xD

Noice.
This. I'm seriously amazed no one else but me (and possibly demon...although I couldn't really tell) seemed to realize this and take the team in a rather unserious manner.

I mean seriously, he even went so far as to take each of their most used EV spreads (all the way down to the additional 4 EVs thrown in as extra) and their most used movesets.

yes, thats the exact idea. The only thing I deviated from is that gyarados's most common item is leftovers, which is just stupid given its popular move choices.

@ art good call, I overlooked those EV placements.

The major point here is, how do we feel about literally the most standard team you can play? What is it bad against, or how good is it? This is more of a discussion than anything else, but I'm still looking for fresh ideas.

This team makes me sad. Not so much how blatantly OU it is, but how it is actually a decent team.

Specs Jolteon's Thunderbolt could potentially screw with this team, provided the user predicted well.

Already said my counters. Funny how DD Gyarados can screw up the top 10 or so Pokemon (forgot what the actual number is).

And then the random threats down near the "UU" region.

I know this is a shoddy team, but is there a viable version that doesn't use legends? I'd like to build it to use against friends.

Edit: i mean for the DS (I don't have shoddy or even a computer capable of supporting it)

I was tempted to imitate Mr. Incredible while fake trollinggoing "I'd like to tell you how annoying conformists are, and how sexist you are for forgeting to include Latias, and how uncool you are for forgetting Lucario but I can't", but I didn't feel like being a ******** jerk just due to a very popular team, not to mention how good it actually is. So I just tried to look at some specific threats, but unless someone went out of their way to make a team to deliberately counter this team, I can't think of any really open weakpoints. And that is how my comment was born.

But you really don't know what to expect with me. I'm a very strange, very demonic, incredibly deranged and twisted being. Muhahaha.....

If what SuperMarth says is true, (this is a VERY newb comment, please keep that in mind) would Azelf be less useful with Thunderbolt instead of Flamethrower? You seem to already have 3 sources of heat, but poor Rotom seems like he's the most valuable member of your team because of his lightning, and that without another shocker, losing him would semi cripple you.
:flame:

I know this sounds strange, but your team fails hard to torkoal XD
It's a shame no one uses him.

also somehow you will get this hat http://lilineko.deviantart.com/art/Umbreon-Fleece-Hat-and-Tail-101618162
:flame:
His team has enough problems dealing with Groudon with Earthquake, StoneEdge, Fire Punch and Shadow Claw. Let's leave Torkal out of this. (You might want to be ware of Pokemon with that combination of moves, actually.)

AND NO MORE GOD ****ED FURY SUITS, ****ER! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I am fine with girls wearing the Play Boy Bunny Outfit, but SERIOUSLY! ENOUGH OF THE ANIMAL COSTUMES! ****! ENOUGH OF THIS ****!

Eh, idk why people use Flamethrower over Fire Blast, as Fire Blast allows you to 2HKO Metagross while it can only 3HKO you with Bullet Punch.

And Azelf would rather Explode instead of surviving for later.

I DO because Fire Blast always misses when I NEED It to hit

But Fire Blast get the necessary KOs, and damage-wise the extra damage is worth the loss in accuracy.
Hit probability always works against me.

It may say hits 85% of the time, but usually it hits every other turn...

well that's just luck for you. =/

Fire blast will nail you certain KOs that flamethrower won't, but then again dealing 80% with Flamethrower is better than 0% because Fire Blast missed. It's up to the combination of personal tastes and general statistics.

I agree with him actually, shoddy seems to hate 85 acc moves. it's probably just my preference though.

But torkoal is a legit threat. Maaaaaad underrated like pre genesis hungrybox. Scizor can't do ****, and when your Heatran switches in to absorb that fire move, it gets an earth power/quake to the face. Burns Gyara/mence, spins away spikes, etc.

And I just meant the hat. The tail is honestly kind of creepy. But the hat is awwwww.

I'm pretty sure that Heatran would OHKO a Torkoal with Earth Power after SR damage, unless there's heavy investment in HP / Special Defense. In which case, Salamence / Gyarados could just EQ / Waterfall it or something. It's too slow to be a threat.
Sarcasm.

You can't see it.

And hell why does this team **** people.

Most Shoddy people are noobs and either use their favorite Pokemon (nothing wrong with that) or they don't know how to use the good Pokemon.

Dual Intimidate + Scizor, a scarfed Heatran can take off a chunk in case it has Babiri, and it can't come into anything EXCEPT Heatran.

I was serious haha
I don't do much ou now, but I brought torkoal in and it *****. Predicted earth powers against the obvious heatran scizor combos, burned physical attackers who can't do ****, etc. The earth power has to be predicted though.

Also he's a good spinner, aside from the SR weakness.
