Blood Hawk and Night Thunder are just crap: below average boost, bad cornering, low top speeds, need I say more?

Big Fang has a great non boost top speed, slooow deceleration, and very good cornering. Great Star has good boost, and is excellent with MTS (the slide and go fast trick).

This is a good list. I don't like the Great Star that much though.

I used to be hardcore into the GCN version of GX and I never got a chance to player the arcade, so I've always wondered; is it possible to snake in arcade?

Magic Seagull, low tier? ok..........

Yeah, unfortunately. Below average speed and average boost speed, and the wide exterior. Handles well but that's it. Doesn't use advanced techs well.

no it doesn't

Great star is NOT top tier
Any machine that could beat the Twist Road staff ghost deserves a spot at high tier. Great Star is one of those machines, displaying great use of advanced techs.

Deep Claw is only 6/10? I thought it'd be a little higher.
It's a tad better than Blue Falcon, but yeah on a whole it's an average machine.

I think so, but there's a superior technique which I believe it was called T-boosting? Not sure, but at its best you can reach speeds of 4000 kmh.
Wild Goose is really bottom tier? D=
Well... his speed is decent I guess, but I just can't him competing with most of the machines above him in boost laps.

.
Wide exterior leads to better kills, So what if it can't snake well, I don't snake anyway. But I perfor well if I can get 100% completion

Snaking in this game is the only way to beat it easy.
Unless you're a glutton for punishment. :bee:
snaking is only necessary in the story mode, in master diff, no matter what track, all you need is a godd custom machine

^ I thought it was impossible to beat chapter 4 on very hard without snaking.

meh I always had trouble on that one if I diddn't snake cuz by the time I caught up micheal chain I would be at the end already so I had no time to attack him.

Also does anyone have any tips for the last chapter on very hard?

Or for the non snake strategy in chapter 9. Boost 3 times in the beginning of the lap, save the rest before the huge downhill. You should land after the first mini ramp, or just before it. Same thing final lap.

finally beat chapter 9! Through a combination of snaking and boosting, only reason I won was cuz the staff ghost slows down alot at the end of the last lap. Bad part is the groovy taxi dosen't really feel worth it.

of course i remember ya in the gfaqs days. so much easier back then to break records...

I haven't but I didn't forget about those exceptions. Their positions probably stay the same. Depending on Dark Schneiders top speed he might be bumped to top tier.
